Was it always this epic? I found on youtube when I was looking up a piece from Two steps from Hell. I haven't been paying attention to RMJI b/c I heard it was slow-burn, but that video though...So, is it really that good?

I wish it felt that epic as I read it. Han Li is portrayed as less an action hero than a clever trickster hero. I like the story but the only xianxia fight scene I've felt was epic like that while reading was in A Will Eternal. Han Li is a bad ass fighter through, just very cautious.

 

AWE fight was really EPIC (if we talk about the Louchen Clan one )

 

The rebellious clan? Oh yeah. That was awesome. It's the only fight in xianxia where, despite knowing the story continues so the character can't die, I was worried and felt adrenaline while reading.

 

Oh you both, you haven't seen the grandest fight in AWE, you gotta wait for at least 500 chapters more....That fight was so freaking amazing!

 

AWE is one of the novels I refuse to read the raws, especially as DB will be translating it, but I'll be looking forward to it when the time ... chapter comes

 

Yeah, that rebellion was when I knew Er Gen had improved as a writer. Any news on when DB is returning with AWE? I'm trying to gauge when we'll hit the 175 or so that XianxiaWorld left off on. That said,

While it looks fairly nicely animated it is rather tame compared to how I imagined the scene while reading it.
I kinda lost interest in the story in the arc that followed though.

It was in the novel, I can't recall the chapter but it should be in 100s
It was when cultivators under Foundation Establishment from all the righteous sects entered a contest to harvest spirit medicine
that grew in a special location that required a portal to enter

PS I prefer the original music. This song does not represent the scene. and I like Two Steps especially their song that was used in a Zidane video montage

 

Um, I remember that there was a bunch of members of the sect of the sword. The one in which the girl was, with whom he later engaged in sex. But there are only three girls in the video and just a dragon-snake. And was there this whirlwind in the sky...?
