As he said that words, Luca prompted himself to sit on the sofa. He moved aside the books which scattered around like he was used to it. In other words, it was not the first time he barged into the laboratory. But it was the first time he acted like that.

Erza and Luca have this inseparable relationship since they were in elementary school, even though they didn’t mean it. You might frankly said that they are a friend, but one with slightly odd relationship.

Erza and Luca were in the same age. Even if they differ in gender, both of them were intelligent and shared a rivalry to become top student at their school. Usually such relationship would be regarded as ‘in a bad terms’ but theirs was nothing like that, they have a good one instead. Erza which have a researcher disposition since long time ago was a natural airhead, while Luca tend to have systematic train of thought, however both of them strangely get along. It was a friendship beyond the gender.

And then, seemingly have similar minds, their interaction continued even after high school and graduated from university. Now they were 28 years old, and still remain single.

For now let’s have a coffee, with that in mind, the guy poured coffee into a cup. As a duke’s daughter that seclude herself inside the laboratory, by no means she was able to do anything herself. She always helped by assistant, but they were not in the laboratory for the time being.

“My father already urged me to marry……”

“He has been saying that since long ago, did he not?”

Erza poked right where it hurts. Still single despite being a 28 years old woman, soon it would be impossible for Erza to get married, even her family almost given up any hope. But, even if they have the same age, a man is different from a woman. It seems like an 28 years old bachelor was even more popular.

“Isn’t it fine? You have a good looks so it’s more like you’re the end receiver” (TN: not sure lol)

Heard she said that in monotonous tone, even if it not to the extent of she being jealous, Luca drank up his coffee in one gulp and said,

“You, you said that even if you’re aware I’m having a gynophobia?!”

“Then, who the the heck is the duke in front of me that is talking to an associate professor of the opposite gender?”

Erza sip her coffee while teasing him. Luca grimaced at her remark.

“That’s because Erza is my friend”

“You, you should apologise to me, shouldn’t you?”

“Why?”

This guy was hopeless. Erza said ‘it’s fine now’ and shaking her head in astonishment. Luca became sullen.

“What is it?”

“It’s nothing. Aa, we are friends indeed…… “

He was correct. She decided to go back to the reason why he shouted such stupid things.

“You were not this flustered when being told to get married by your father before. What happen?”
