I still don't understand how they lost money. The guild's value should have gone up, not down. Well, until it split anyway. At that point, it's hard to say what would happen as it would depend heavily on public perception of the split. But there's no reason why they couldn't have sold their stock in the guild immediately after the First Five while the value was up since very few people knew what was really happening.
Here is my assumption: Rich kids' parents invested in "Steel-Blooded Battle Spear", which now doesn't exist. Similar to when a corporation goes bankrupt, all investments are void. New guild "Bloody Steel" is created and Thousand Sunsets can decide who he wants to 'transfer' to the new guild, both players and investors. Rich kids and parents are not chosen due to not getting Ye Ci to help. Very douche-y on Thousand Sunset's part, but without a legal contract, what can they do to him?
This is a little different in that the company split. Normally their shares would just be split in half and divided between the two companies or they'd be bought out prior to the split. Regardless, they knew that something drastic was going to happen so they still had plenty of time to sell their shares right after the First Five announcement when the guild's stocks should have been on the rise. Though, this does assume a legal contract. Without one, then them losing money becomes much easier to understand. Though, why their parents would be stupid enough to not have a contract for this is a bit beyond me given that they are the sort of people that screw others over using similar tactics whenever the opportunity arises.
That would only matter if she was the one targeting the players, but it was the other way around. If it had been her own guild members she could only have run away and hoped that she could run faster than them.
Fleeting Time and Gongzi You ship is so real! I love Fleeting Time already. “I like queens”... wooot! Kyaaa!
Satisfying! Chapter 209 was really satisfying! Ahh that was some nice screen time for the ML. I WANT MOAR!!!! MOAR!!!! On another note, here comes the "guests" *clicks tongue*. Just go the hell away, you arrogant bastards. Grrr
This novel fixes basically everything I hated about Emperor Of Solo Play and similar Novels. Basically: Smart Female MC. Not a fully solo player. She does solo stuff but also team stuff. MC family and relationships outside the game do matter and are important. MC creates her own Guild. MC is smart enough to Blackmail one of the game programers not just with her past life memories but her cunning. MC choices do affect real life besides making her rich. The game is not the absolute money sink the game in Emperor Of Solo Play was.
I'm loving this novel, but god, I'd hate to play a game in real life with such broken CC skills. The length of the PVP stuns would absolutely murder any semblance of balance. I mean, 12+ seconds? Every rogue in the game is basically a cheat-level protagonist at that point.
