I stopped reading, intending to read once it was finished, but it seems it'll be a few decades at that point. I expect machine translation will be good enough in another decade.
I'm doing the same. I've basically picked up a bunch of series on Kindle unlimited and Royal Road. I'll only comeback when the series is finished.
The main problem of this method is it's can take too long and your sphere of interest change and you will not read this novel at all. Well it's not that bad but still kinda disadvantageous.
I don't disagree with you, but I can't just sit around and wait for this. I think it's pretty clear the translator is preoccupied, which is totally reasonable. It's just with the release schedule a lot of story is fading for my memory .
Lost interest can be regained, but if the annoyance, that will build up from only reading one chapter every few months, will make me drop the novel. Especially after it has started leaning into more of a cultivation type novel.
Royal road ... Yeah .. I remember I did that once ... A long time ago ... When I found a great novel there called "Those who aspired to become gods" .. i wonder what happened to that
I feel like the next time we will see this series is on Qidian behind paywall.. This series is on gravity after all.. And the translator is pretty close to richard kong the 1% gravity share holder/ ex-owner. If anyone is like... picking it up or something.. I bet the original translator will flash one or two chapter again to make the new translator quit. Theyre taking this series hostage until QI officially announce its colaboration with munpia.
And it's just like you said, you need stones starting from the chapter 42. I noticed just today it is in Qidian, but it seems to be added a week ago
I'll be happy to pay my stacked free spirit stones to read it if they get a good translator. That said, I did the math a little back and a novel of 500 chapters would cost around $50 to read. Since we have already read most of it, then it wouldn't cost that much.
Is it just me or did the posted chapters spirited away in GT's site? I'm already at chapter 395 and would've gotten to the latest if I hadn't prepared for my first day of work after being a 2-year NEET.
An unreasonable system for unreasonable readers. You say translator hold the novel hostage, what about the readers that attack new translators? They deserve each other
Well not every reader like redacted MTL, so probably that the case. It's fine if it's good redact but i read one of novel (something from Girl Who ate Death God series(this is certainly good novel)) on your site and it was pretty bad.
It was the first novel on my website. I started with MTL. Battle Through The Heavens on Wuxiaworld translated by the former owner of GGP is also crap. Everyone starts from somewhere. Try harder, you are not making a point with legs to stand on.
I dont get your point either. You blame people that they didnt like when new translator pop up, but when i said MTL is cant be really considered as good translation, you say my point is weak? Otherwise we can just go and read on nlmtl if we want mtl. Btw i read whole Hail the King on nlmtl, but i was really thirsty about this novel, on the other hand i didnt like read really good work(from Nanasawa Matari as i mentioned earlier) in mtl, its really waste imo.
That is not what I am talking about. You brought up MTL I will rephrase it for you, so you get it A good translation by another translator that tries to replace those holding novels hostage gets attacked by readers. So readers deserve translators who hold their novels hostage. You can point out crap translations from many websites, even ones known for quality.(My point) Girl Who Ate The Death God was not held hostage. Your point is moot PS If you want quality translations of Girl Who Ate The Death God, you can always pay for it yourself.
In the first place, i didnt say anything abot Girl Who Ate The Death God, but about this series, this novel already trandlated. Sexond, >You say translator hold the novel hostage, what about the readers that attack new translators? Thats definitely your words, so im answer why readers attack new translator. Because quality of new translation isnt good.
That is not the case. It has nothing to do with quality. You can see it with novels with Slime and Konjiki no Word master that were actually held hostage by the previous translators. The same with Zhanxian. You want to live in a bubble. It is your issue. Best of luck to you.
