Remember that one time in Release that Witch when Roland created a card game and us readers were like : "That sounds like Gwent, doesn't it?" Well here we are today with Release that Witch chapter 75 of the manga just being literal about it. Spoiler: Image Gwent: {} The Witcher himself: {} Side note : I have not read the manga (or manhua) yet, but I saw this from my friend telling me about it. Color me surprised when you see Geralt likeness himself in Release that Witch.
It is from a chinese novel, dem referencing anything from games, manga animes, other CN novels to chinese songs and drama.
That I know of but the fact this relates to the novel itself is the point of interest here. The novel never explicitly states that it is Gwent, but the way it is described reminds reader of Gwent. Now this manga/manhua comes out and just calls it Gwent. I do have to reread it just to make sure though.
When I read it in the novel I thought it was just another one of those times when TLs take "liberties" and name shit randomly
I remember Roland called it “Gwent” and when he described the game, it sounded a hella’ lot like the gwent in the Witcher games so I just assumed that he stole the entire game within the game and recreated it physically for his harem witches
...outerworlder stealing ideas from original world, that rare? Lol jokes aside, a witcher card game for the witches...
They all have these fantasies that they created all these sh*t and write about them on their made up world. Like IRAS, RTW, any other world building transmigration to the 15th century with all the fairy tales and classical music. I lowkey thought about them too, but I'm not shameless enough to share my thoughts with others.
