    Does anyone have novel or anime recommendations where the MC has a close friend he can always rely on? I've read/watched a lot stuff where the mc is kinda on his own and I enjoy stuff like that but I really want something where the MC isn't alone and has to shoulder everything by himself.

    For novels, i would prefer something that is either fully translated, close to being done, or has fast updates since I dont really like to wait a long time for new chapter but if you have a really good one that doesnt fit these, recommend it anyway. I'm fine with any genre, except romance (sorry but I just don't really enjoy it ༼ ༎ຶ ෴ ༎ຶ༽)

    Kono Oto Tomare? Koto (classical japanese musical instrument) shounen manga. It's about a high school Koto club. The MC has a close best friend who isnt part of the Club but is basically the mom/dad of everyone, including the senpais.
    There is also an anime (on Netflix)

    Basically, all I can think of is team sports mangas lmao.

    - I think Sooyoung, Sangah, and Joonghyuk are MC's mental support.
    Cultivation Chat Group (webnovel)
    - Senior White mainly, but other too.
    - No romance, but MC will eventually end up with a harem. He doesn't interact with them though and usually has a friendly relationship.
    Fairy Tail (Anime)
    - The main quad to each other.
    - No romance but lots of fanservice
    Natsume's Book of Friends
    - About a lonely high school boy who can see yokai. He gets friends.
    Tokyo Revengers (Anime or Manga)
    - Chifuyu, Mikey, Draken, Inupi, Mitsuya.
    - MC is weak with strong friends who he goes to for advice.
    Living leisurely in Tang Dynasty (Webnovel)
    - Dai Ting

    Also Re:Zero (anime or WN, I never read the LN)
    - Even though there is romance, it's not the usual type. MC suffers a lot and relies on a lot of people to keep him sane. Not a lot of people like the first season of the anime or the first 2 arcs of the WN (I did), but the story does get better afterward.
