Just finished this thread and whew what a ride. I have a question about a minor character: Rose, the lady in waiting to Navier after she went to the Western Empire. I read in earlier spoilers that she was sent to spy on her, but later spoilers mention she becomes Navier’s ally instead?

How did that happen? Did Navier win her over or was Rose on N’s side the entire time?

So Rose was a sister of the royal knights captain. He openly showed his “hostility” to Navier when she and Heinley arrived to the Western Kingdom. It was because he is loyal to the crown and Navier put Heinley safety in trouble (they were detained after the divorce/marriage in the Eastern Empire). So Navier took his sister as lady-in-waiting because she was a suitable candidate and she wanted to see if their family is loyal to the crown or Christa. Navier eventually won her over.

I don't understand why you want to read it on wattpad. You could just visit the translator's website here https://wordexcerpt.com/series/remarried-empress/.

I remember there was one or two English translated versions on wattpad just several months ago. But seeing that there are no more Remarried Empress (except for some local language version I noticed), it could be because:
    a. Word excerpt asked to remove them
    b. Naver reported copyright infringement
    c. The uploads were not Remarried Empress and my memory is just so messed up I remember it wrong :blobjoy:

Either way, the most updated translations of this novel is on word excerpt.

Translator at Wordexcerpt made the deal with Korean publisher so now RE is under DMCA copyright law. You won’t find its translation other than at Wordexcerpt.

And congratulations to Navier & Hainley for the confirmed pregnancy! The eagle is dancing and ready to make a nest! A litteral nest made by silk, for now.

    Chapter 154: Rashta's Despair (1)

    Western Empire

Time passed by too slowly after the surprise diagnosis. The two weeks following Navier was able to keep busy, but at night when she thought about it, time seemed to have disappeared far too quickly.

Heinley has taken to simply wrapping his arms around her while they quietly lay in bed. It was after an especially long day that Navier found herself enjoying her husband's presence in peace.

It wasn't like Heinley at all. Her usually energetic eagle held her without a single hint of his burning passion and lust.

Even then he never brought up children, and she never felt pressure from him on that subject. He knew she was pressured all the same and even never brought up the topic of babies or her possible pregnancy. Especially now it was the night before her second appointment with the court physician. The one that would bring an end to their uncertainty.

Navier laid on Heinley's chest listening to his strong heartbeat, she then touched his chin and cheeks in an effort to soothe his unvoiced impatience. Usually he was quite the chatterbox however he was blessedly silent for the past two weeks. Navier was thankful for that. After struggling with untangling his hair, Navier laid her head on his chest and contentedly listened to his heartbeat.

Navier sighed, 'when did this man come to mean so much to me? How does it make sense to try not to love him? How will we lie here tomorrow after all is said and done? Will it be like we are right now or will it change? Tomorrow, we...'

Heinley interrupted her chaotic thoughts, "My Queen, you're going to kill me."

"Heinley?" Her husband groaned but didn't really answer her.

    Navier persisted, "what's wrong?"

Heinley gently kissed her forehead, refused to answer her. He untangled himself and got out of bed, making for the other room. Navier belatedly realised he was tending to his stimulated body.

"How are you?" She called after him.

"Too cruel..." he muttered helplessly from the room he disappeared into.

Navier grabbed his still warm pillow and looked between it and the door to the other room. She was unsure as to what to do.

    Heinley had a restless night.

    ......

Late the next morning the physician arrived with a tight face. His expression was as though he thought the world would end if with just one word.

Heinley once again tightly held her hand while the physician quickly started his examination. Navier's throat seemed to dry up instantly as she struggled to control her breathing.

'Why was he taking so long? Shouldn't he have results by now?'

Once he was done, the physician carefully put his tools away and then bowed low to her.

"Congratulations you Majesty! You are certainly pregnant! You will be having a baby."

As soon as he finished speaking, Navier heard a sound beside her. When she looked, she found Heinley staring at her with wide eyes. When their eyes met, he grasped both her hands and hugged them.

The physician quietly left them alone.

Navier's mind blanked after the official pronouncement. She realized that Heinley had been asking her several questions after and that she had been out of it. When she looked at him, he smiled and tried to see if she was happy.

Once her mind overcame the shock and started working again, Navier immediately wanted to recall the physician. Was he really sure? It's not a mistake is it? That she was really well and truly having a baby, her?

    "A baby..." Navier murmured.

"I think the ugly baby eagle is our baby, my Queen." Heinley answered.

Navier protested, "It wasn't bad, it was fluffy and cute."

"You're right of course," Heinley kissed her cheeks in apology, "it was a very cute baby eagle."

Before Navier could reply, he embraced her then lifted her up and spun her around. Navier could only hang on as she cried, "Heinley!"

"You'll be dizzy if we keep spinning like this, right?" He lifted her up to kiss her before depositing Navier in her chair. He then changed into Queen and continued dancing and fluttering about the room.

Navier finally laughed and relaxed as she watched Queen continue celebrating. He must have been holding all that in for the two weeks they waited. He never said a thing about the baby, even before the last two weeks. But his celebrations now were a good thing, right?

Navier felt overwhelmed. Her eyes were hot, "my child."

She was pregnant. Her. She was going to be a mother. She never thought she would get to be one. It was normal for a baby, an heir, to be one of the requisites for being an Empress. But this...this was different.

Hot tears rolled down her cheeks as she rested her hands on her stomach. Queen stopped his dancing and came over to her seat.

His wings engulfed her as they wrapped around her waist and stomach. They stayed like that for a long time before Heinley finally spoke.

"A child born with our blood."

Navier looked up at him, "are you happy?"

Heinley simply replied, "this baby contains both of us just by being."

    .......

Heinley continued making small clerical errors for the rest of the day in his distracted state. McKenna frowned down at the incorrect words on various documents, the spilled ink bottles, and he even had to rewrite some papers entirely.

McKenna was finally fed up and uncomfortably asked, "you look incredibly happy today, what's going on?"

He even sent Navier a pleading look. She could only shake her head and replied distractedly, "I don't know."

Heinley had wanted to make the announcement about her pregnancy almost immediately after the check up had finished. He would have crowed it from the rooftops if Navier had let him. Fortunately her good sense had prevailed.

"The pregnancy is still early yet", she reasoned, "and l could still miscarry or fall victim to those who would be threatened by an heir." Heinley was reminded of Crista's faction then, and that thought soured his expression.

Navier continued," I would like to let a select few to be in the know, but the less people who do know, the better."

Heinley capitulated, "at the very least McKenna should know, and of course the Physician."

    "Naturally," Navier agreed.

When they informed McKenna it was agreed that he would take over some of Navier's responsibilities. However...

McKenna stared at Navier's daily schedule on disbelief then trepidation. He then tore it up with a shout, "I won't do it, I refuse!" He refused to budge after that.

The secretary and Aide-de-Camp softened his stance when the physician intervened after appraising them of Navier's needs.

"Her schedule needs to be altered." He advised, "Her Majesty needs to sleep at least seven hours a day, eat meals at a fixed time, and reduce her her workload by at least a quarter."

"The most dangerous time for Her Majesty is the early stages of the pregnancy," he stressed, "you have to be careful. Eat, play, rest, see and hear good things, until dawn!"

After that recommendation McKenna was completely on board, though not before injecting his complaint.

"I need to rest. I'm not going to be letting you do a lot of work from now on." He continued, "it seems I'm married to my work after all. If Her Majesty needs seven hours of sleep, I'll only need two."

"I'm not going to drive you that much," Navier replied, a little shocked at his declaration.

"Even if Your Majesty won't drive me hard, it's clear that someone else beside you will..." he fixed his cousin with a gimlet eye. After a moment his sour expression brightened, "since this is all in secret anyways, there isn't much you can do. But you can still make a nest in advance."

    "A nest?" Navier was lost.

McKenna continued helpfully, "I'll help make the nest, Your Majesty. Baby birds are small and tender, so the nest has to be delicate. These days the going fashion is to have silk nest, of course."

Wait a second! Did he mean an actual nest?

Thank you @Ocefossa your version is a lot easier to read than MTL!

I was bamboozled by the last part though XD is she not gonna have a normal pregnancy like humans? Is the pregnancy time shorter than humans which is why Sobitchu will claim the kids are his? And haha I guess it's easier to lay eggs (unless it's ostrich sized omg)

    Chapter 154: Rashta's Despair (1)

    Eastern Empire

Taking moment to absorb the Lady-in-Waiting, Viscountess Verdi's words, Sovieshu frowned. Did Rashta really throw the princess on the floor after such a quick visit?

But first things first, taking care of the baby. Sovieshu took the crying infant princess from the viscountess' arms. He looked her over for injuries and found none.

However something else seemed to be going on as the baby's cries differed from her usual ones. For one the pitch was different as well as the degree and volume of them. She also wasn't calming down.

Embarrassed at the continued cries, Sovieshu grew impatient when the baby didn't respond to his calls.

"Why is she doing this?!" He yelled at Lady Verdi.

"Her Majesty threw the Princess on the floor," she exclaimed hysterically again and again over the infant's continuous cries.

"Call the physician," Sovieshu bellowed, then turned and started towards the door, "No wait, I'll go."

"Don't believe her, your Majesty!" Rashta shouted from the doorway, her escorts crowded the entrance behind her. Rashta hurried into the room as she continued shouting, "your Majesty, Verdi is crazy! That girl threw the baby!"

"No!" Viscountess Verdi denied the accusation with wide eyes.

"Your Majesty, that wicked woman tried to kill our princess! Any attempt on the princess's life deserves execution! She must die!"

Sovieshu frown deepened as he alternated between the two women trying to gauge who was the more truthful. His gauze went from his wife, to Viscountess Verdi, and back to Rashta again.

"Your Majesty," Rashta loudly reasoned, "think about it, would Rashta throw her baby? That's ridiculous."

While she was speaking she reached out her hands clearly demanding that Sovieshu hand over the baby over to her. Instead he stepped back further put of her reach. Throwing a newborn was something even an ordinary mind wouldn't comprehend or do.

'If she did do this, then Rashta is crueler than I thought.' His frown deepened, 'but did she really throw my child? By that same reasoning, why would Lady Verdi throw the baby?'

His thoughts were interrupted by a sudden racket coming from his rooms. The cries of the infant mingled with the tearing sounds of the caged bird.

It was then the physician arrived. He had been called after Rashta blocked the foyer entrance and stopped Sovieshu from leaving. Once the man was in the room, Sovieshu ordered him to check up on the princess in a back room, leaving Rashta in the anteroom.

Once the infant was being tended, Sovieshu returned to main room Rashta occupied with the caged bird. The moment the bird saw Rashta it made a fuss with a bitter, deafening sound. It was neither a cute nor clear sound.

Rashta was frightened of the noise and stepped back. The bird's reaction was all the evidence Sovieshu needed. It cleared his doubts of 'could she really do that?' Sovieshu gave Rashta a long look.

    "Your Majesty," she pressed, "Verdi..."

    "Go back." Sovieshu ordered.

"Your Majesty, Rashta," the empress tried again.

"I said," his cold voice cut her off, "go back."

Rashta hesitated then stood from where she had sat. Just as she turned, she spied the Viscountess still kneeling in front of her husband. Anger and hatred flared up in her.

That woman had betrayed the Empress. How dare she?

Rashta ground her teeth. Well, there was nothing that could be helped by now. That old fox had gotten to the Emperor first. The man who was also the father of the princess. Rashta took her leave but not before pleading with the Emperor.

"I will go back." She made to leave, "but Your Majesty, please consider that Rashta will never harm the princess. I am her mother." And then swept out of foyer with her escorts.

Once the doors were closed Sovieshu addressed the still kneeling lady.

    "You have a son?"

    "Yes, your Majesty."

    "Have you raised a baby?"

"Yes, I raised my son. There wasn't enough money to hire a nanny."

Sovieshu nodded and then spoke unexpectedly. "I'll be making the baby's room next to mine. Stay there and protect the baby princess."

"Thank you, Your Majesty!" The newly appointed royal nanny exclaimed as she bowed deeply in gratitude.

After she left, Sovieshu turned his attention towards the physician. He anxiously asked, "the princess?"

"The princess had no large injury, which surprised me. If she truly was dropped, then it would have been a big deal, Majesty. She could have broken her neck."

Fortunately the princess wrapped in thick cloth and the floor was carpeted. Sovieshu dismissed the man.

His thoughts returned to Rashta. He was biding his time with her. All the while collecting each of her misdeeds and sins.

However he looked at the situation, he was thoroughly entangled with Rashta. A realization struck him.

He would never be able to just divorce Rashta.

    ......

By the time Rashta had returned to the West Wing, she felt thoroughly betrayed and angry with Sovieshu. She was also in a miserable sort of shock that she had indeed thrown her own baby. Rashta screamed and smashed objects in her room.

"It's not like it's on purpose." She cried as she knelt on the spot where she threw the infant. She cried and repeated over and over of how it wasn't on purpose.

At the time though she couldn't overcome the creepiness of holding a dead baby.

Even as she continued to cry, there was a knock at the door.

"Get out! Nobody comes in!" Even as Rashta screamed, Rotteschu entered. Enraged, Rashta continued to scream, "why are you here?! Why?! Get out! That's an order!"

In contrast, Rotteschu hissed at her in a low voice, "it's not like that! Your father's come."

I get the impression it's partially metaphorical and partially McKenna being a bird-brain. I found it humorous.

Can someone spoil me about Duchess Tuanian. I’m curious, did her husband regret divorcing her?

OH BOI....Of course. He regretted heavelly, he basically lost everything: his awesome wife, the love and respect of his son (the duchess had to leave the empire in order to save her son legitimacy to duchy/and heir coz the duke didn't want to believe her and questioned his own son blood-relation, so of course the son would resent his father), the respect of the noble society (especially the noblewomen as the duchess was their boss in a way....let's say, she was pretty awesome). So, he lost everything because of Trashta's scheme, so when it was revealed the duke lost it and complained to Stupidshoe. Stupidshoe being Stupidshoe, understood that Trashta is at fault but he was pretty busy already so he literally said to the duke 'What I have to do with your family's problem?' .....so yeah, you get it. Afterwards, the duke was one of the the main force on pushing the paternity test trial for Trashta & Stupidshoe baby. Stupidshsoe tried to stop this (well, he somehow understood that the situation is shit, and it's not his baby BUT he sacrificed a lot for this baby...so basically he didn't want to face the reality in my opinion LOL) but because Trashta's schemes were all revealed and her reputation was already rock bottom, the noble society pushed for paternity test with the excuse of preserving the royal blood bla-bla. So it was revealed that the baby isn't Stupidshoe's LOL.

OK, continuing about the duke, well he regretted and tried to get back the duchess but from what I remember it didn't go well, at all. About the duchess, she's now by Navier's side...basically helping her the same way as in Eastern Empire, dominating the society. She's with that guy (forgot his name but that dude that was put under arrest but Navier saved him) who was by duchess side when everything happened and who was enamored with her. They're kinda together...:blobsmilehappy:not sure if romantically or he's just loyal to her, not 100% sure here.

This is all I remember from reading spoilers.

Thanks for the spoiler it’s really satisfying when they regret what they done. They’re so stupid. The duke really is an idiot for believing Trashta than his wife. I hope his son is ok.
