Is there any method to remove/hide/filter Scribble Hub ads from NU main/releases page? I know it's Tony's brainchild and he's vigorously promoting it, but I prefer my custom releases page to be clean. Yeah, I get a bit fussy about some things. Hope Tony doesn't get mad.
you should just request it... though we dont know if it will ever be implemented, like when I asked to allow arrow keys be used to select novels in the search field.
Took a somewhat similar approach. Blocked unwanted elements using Adblock. Thanks to ur suggestion. Thanks.
The proper place for scribblehub suggestions in the future is actually on scribblehub itself: https://forum.scribblehub.com/forums/suggestions-bug-reports.5/ Ads are used to support the site (especially since it’s new), but can be easily handled with exterior things such as plugins. Including the feature in the site itself would imply too much support for the turning off of ads. Note: this is because Tony does not take a cut from any money the authors receive through donation and there also isn’t a way to donate directly to the site. At least one person has suggested subscriptions, but I don’t see Tony going for anything but direct payments to the authors. I do have one question though @otaku31. Are the ads there intrusive or invasive? Were their redirects or slowed down page loading? All are potential issues with ads, so just wanting to check. ^_^
I think he made the thread here because it's about the advertisement on NU, so it's NU's side of things. *pass Tony her katana*
tbh, the ad's themselves are tasteful and I don't mind them at all. Many are relevant to my country and do not have pornography which is always a mood killer for me. So, only considering my pocket money as a victim, it's actually been pretty good.
Ohhhhhhh. I thought he meant ads on scribblehub rather than ads about scribblehub. I’m sorry @otaku31 !!
the ads that appear on every site are usually based on what you usually search or something along those lines
