    I like the Anita Blake series because it does touch on a lot of issues...take away the vampires and supernatural stuff....I say yup, it's pretty much like that. ^.^

    We all support each other emotionally. We become a family, a gestalt. It's a supportive relationship.

    One other thing I'd like to address is the parenthood issue *rolls her eyes* everyone forgets that in this day in age, we have dna testing if that is really important. >.>

    The Merry Gentry series uses the Celtic mythology/folklore (the sidhe to be exact) for world building. Which is among my favorite to research/write in. So it was like catnip when I first read it.

    Ooo...have you tried the Iron Druid chronicles? It's about the sidhe and druids in a modern day setting.... the male lead is smexy. ^.^ The talking books are really good too. ^.^

    Whats solo poly?

    I really wanna go for sister wives, but have the intense feeling my sister wont go for it so have mentioned absolutely nothing. I am absolutely going to help her raise her children tho.

    Oooh I hadn't. And it looks like I can get them from the library. Yay! I am in the middle of another series, but after that I will dive in...thanks!

    Btw, I may be able to find more recs if you want them. Not all poly, but some good (to me) published works that aren't erotica (for the most part) but are not all mainstream relationships.

    I just had an epiphany. Two out of the three stories I am actively writing have non traditional relationships. And the third hadn't been decided yet. (But knowing me, I'll make it non traditional.)
