Discussion Roleplaying Online Fantasy Game Named Faery Tale Online

Hey NU, found this game named Faery Tales Online it looks pretty cool and reminds me of chronicles of elyria thought I'd share the link http://www.faerytaleonline.com and a short description of it.

Players are born into families made up of other players, villages are built by players, dungeons are delved (and created) by players, wars are started and waged by players, and new lands are constantly discovered and tamed by, you guessed it, players.) and did I mention the birth system which allows a player to get pregnant and give birth to another player? Pretty cool right?

I checked out the tvtropes page and I found it great and pretty hilarious. The list of tropes gave me an idea of what kind of text based experience I'd recieve but sadly I don't have the time for it. That said I propably would not have seen this game without your post and I may end up trying it in the future.

 

Sound like all I will do is role play as a woman, give birth to bunch of babies then kill them all when players take control of them. I heard you can eat everything in that game... Babies corpse?

 

I had an account once and completely forgot about it. Can't remember much about the game, but the members are quite involved. They're quite nice and helpful to those looking to know the game, yet quite merciless as well to those seeking to do harm.
So, if you plan on going in just to troll, don't.

 

Only being able to register through the childbirth of others feels kind of limited. Also hearing about the dozens of races is their not a race which can produce asexually for example a Mushroom man? I don't really mind playing as a mushroom guy tbh.

they let you make a creature? sounds cool. But to wait until a woman is pregnant and gives birth to get to the game....although the concept is pretty cool, the pregancy period at the very least should be much shorter, and faster. Also, what is the ratio between the male and female players? That would be a factor in this too, since if there are not many women to get pregnant then there would be a reaaaallllly long waiting period.

are there any screenshots of the gameplay, or am i gonna have to google it?

So it's probably just text.

yeah, i just read that too from the link. A shame, really. If it was a bit more open world then I think there would me many more people playing. Cause, i never heard of it before and that is kinda strange to me. I usually know about things like this.
This game seems interesting, but not really worth it in the long run....
