Yep, we never got the conclusion of the KPGA.

New chapter is a filler until we get to a plot chapter. Sigh...

As I’ve commented before, and this chapter verified my speculation...the game has low stat increasing effects. Hence the reality experienced by the MC has low stat boosts available to him. This might account for how poorly Royal Roader did in the Kr market...people like powerful characters they can build up in their games. Because of the deliberate caps retarding overpowered characters, there’s a limit to how powerful your game avatar can become.


Kang Hwi Ram’s advantage was he accepted the limits and got lucky in his gaming experience, so he uniquely devised ways to boost his character. Of course this can be done for any game...and given his pathetic backstory, not unreasonable.

Since the author has made too many egregious errors in keeping track of the statistics and plot lines in the story to salvage the taunt plotting that made me love this story, he’s at least trying to bring back some of the fun power gaming parts I really enjoyed. I think it’s a wash at this point, but I am willing to concede that he’s too close to the final chapters, so he’s conceded this point, and is now more concerned with entertaining us.

Good choice. I still love this story, and basically all WNs have this issue, due to paid chapters being posted as the author finishes, without the compiled novel being edited before publication that LNs enjoy.

I forgot to comment last chapter, but here we saw the author’s use of stereotypes, by having an American call Koreans “monkey”. This has been used in the past to build up sympathy for the Korean MC, and it does work. Though distasteful and inaccurate, this is a common device.

Variations are having Japanese and Chinese characters denigrate Korean MC’s, for example in Solo Leveling, the Japanese hunters plan to massacre the high level Korean hunters...(which obviously in a KR novel backfired)

Aside from that, we can obviously predict that the Americans will be curb stomped. Which I am looking forward to.

 

I got it...Kang Hwi Ram is correctly identifying that shot as an albatross, because it took two shots to make it in. A hole in one sinks the ball into the hole from the tee.(start point)

The author really loves golf...he gets the terminology right...

Yep. Another golf chapter... Next time, Robert gets to find out how useless it is to attempt to sabotage someone protected by plot armor.

 

Well, that was a bit of a letdown...Robert just gave up.

I’m hoping he’ll try something really bad...like assassination...otherwise this is gonna be boring.

But seriously, all the politics, the author would be better served by simply stating the results, rather than boring the reader by trying to impress us with his intricate world building...because frankly, he lost our respect one third of the way into this novel, by trying to retroactively change part of the background story. And failing.

Better to cut more of the plots exterior to the game world...even golf freaks would drop this story after too many chapters like today.

 

Author just showing how op mc is not much real product of story line there...

Yep! I like what I like, and I never care if they’re unpopular novels.

 

Yet another author wish fulfillment chapter. As you may have noticed, the author does seem to project himself into his characters. It makes for off storytelling at times, and is quite annoying.

At least we’re through it. This is undoubtedly the reason if this story didn’t do that well as a novel.

Next chapter pls.

Still a filler. I wanted to see the MC at least screw the Golden Dragon Group, but nope, we got a filler.

It’s ok, you need filler chapters, but seriously boring. Please, something good!
