Not the RL stalker but the game recently after watching couple of e3 trailers, I am thinking about playing the previous releases.Just wanted to know Is the game good? I don't mind the graphics as a games best selling point is how good the story is and other thing.

Get some mod at Modb, only STALKER Clearsky that lacking though, the First and third are best. get some mod like Misery (it's free standalone too) and many others too, and yes, there is a lot standalone Mod free at Modb, so if you don't have money, go there. (psst! or you can do like a pirate)

It is very good, I picked it up and stated playing it two weeks ago. You would want to go with game number 3 - Call of Pripyat (CoP) and the MISERY mod or Call of Chernoby mod (CoC). MISERY http://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-misery Call of Chernoby http://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl Misery is more for a high end PC and CoC is more for not so high end PC's. You can play them both but CoC is more a from framework - light wieght mod (that does everything you would want from a STALKER mod). Version 1.6 is in bata right now (I am play testing it) and will be released soon. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a clasic game and still hold out even to day against new AAA releases, thanks to mods.
If it's not on sale currently then just wait. Either Steam or Bundle Stars will put it on sale soon. It's one of those franchises that goes on sale regularly. And with Black Friday in 6 weeks, I can almost guarantee that it will be on sale in a bundle.
Lol, I feel like you are showing off... XD Yes it does! My old patato is 1/8th your and I can run STALKER okay. You meet the specs for Misery, and let me tell you the game is amazing. The graphics are so awesome! I really love photorealistic graphics, and the lighting is so good, sun rises and sunsets are awesome.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. can run on a lot of things, it's not that terribly hard to run. Also would have to recommend playing with headphones, as not paying attention to sounds or knowing where they came from CAN AND WILL get you killed. And I would personally trying playing whichever one you start with, be it Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, or Call of Pripyat, unmodded for your first playthrough, as it is an amazing experience.
