What's the worst novel you've read that has had the MC and his friends/family be completely safe, regardless of how powerful the enemy is. You just know he won't be in danger, nor his friends due to a reason. Mine would be Bringing the Farm to Another World. The novel is only 200 translated chapters long yet the MC is practically invincible. If it wasn't for the author pretending that the MC is in danger, he'd probably be able to even fight back against the empires that are currently threatening him. I'd give reasons, but this isn't the post for a rant.
A week or two ago I would have probably said Shura's Wrath. Sadly, all of that got destroyed. As for now, I would have to agree and say that Death March is one of the safest novels that I've read.
MANGA WO YOMERU ORE GA SEKAI SAIKYOU and other OP fantasy slice of life ones like it. Then again, that's kind of the point in those stories
Most Xianxia are fairly safe for the MC, there is always some powerful person saves the day, finds a item, realizes a technique, or the enemy just lets them go.
Seoul Station Necromancer pretty much to this point because the MC has just been through so much worse and really can't care about most of the things people have done up to this point. You piss him off he'll slap you you try something more he'll kill you and everyone so far is so wary of him that it's more seeing how he gets through it than any risk.
BTFTIAW MC isn't really immortal or invincible, but they need to hit him with a massive attack without any detection saying there's an attack whatsoever. And if you think his friends won't have any problems, that's mostly because you're still in the 200s. Comparing that to how many chapters it currently has, it's still in the beginning. Not to mention, he still has the Water of Nihility acting up, so he can't really practice martial arts, magic or other things the normal way. And any children would inherit it, so he can't really *have fun* either. Spoiler: Spoiler For now atleast, but wait 'til later when he gets married... I would actually say some of the JP Hero summoning stories. The ones with the really OP heroes who don't necessarily act as 'Herolike naiveish' as other heroes do.
Agree on this one. The absolute choice mechanic guarantees that in any truly dangerous scenario, he has infinite do-overs. The only time he doesn't are the "mischief-style" choices, but they're even called mischief choices. They never really threaten him or anyone else.
TDG. ED too. I know that whenever something happens, the author will always pull some tidbit out of his Doraemon pocket of ideas to save the day.
