Another series I found similar is the Mech Touch
I always loved the idea of a MC getting some sory of system or power in a modern at least preferably setting and yses it to get a head of people like tranxending vision
Yes! Me too...but I really hated that one where the MC was sole survivor in s train wreck...the idiocy of the MC made me gag.
NU link pls.
Don't think NU has it.
? I forgot.
around chapter 588 (mtl) he gets Jarvis... (robot assistant) shortly after he solves controlled thermonuclear fusion...
In later chapters, we see how the author is surprisingly unprejudiced toward other cultures...especially in a CN novel. No cringe moments after chapter 400 or so. Nor is he China Uber Alles either. MC has a lot of foreign friends, and the author takes pains to portray him as a scientist, who tries to live up to the ideals of Science...a gift to the world and future generations. It’s good enough for me to continue reading+skimming mtls.
I’m also continually astounded by the realistic and well thought out the world building of the author. I can’t comment on the science, but the plot line is plausible. Very.
Ok, folks, I thinks a clarification is in order...
After reaching 700+ mtl chapters, this is the LEAST “Go China” and “Japan and Korea sucks, and the US bites” CN Novel I’ve read on NU.
The MC is genuine scientist, with international viewpoints. There are prejudiced characters, but it’s more envy than anything else.
Compared to Issac, Solo Leveling, better points for non discrimination. Compared to a number of JP novels, better points. Compared to many CN novels, ditto.
Completely recommended. But the laid back style may not be to everyone’s taste.
Edit: one more thing...sure the MC favors China, but you’d do that for your native country, right?
Edit2: the reactions of the US to China getting ahead in technology..totally plausible. Really.
there sure is rare, very rare to see a cn novel with the setting of modern world that have no racism, heck even the strongest abandoned son have racism even tough the mc isn't fully chinese. but i thankful tought that this novel author will try to not being borderline facist like those other author, why would one enjoy reading about other country propaganda and the like ? i am good toward nationalism and loving your motherland, but i hope this novel stay in the theme till the end.
Yes, I agree. But really, how could the translator misspell “Crawford” so...badly?
I was reading another modern day novel with a system but it got kind of boring as the mc seemed more like a robot going from one system objective to the next. This has a few different tags one being romantic subplot, so how far does that actually go?
Around chapter 1100, he
hooks up with the older sister. I’m in the Vera camp. But currently Vera is in cryosleep due to leukemia, after winning the Fields medal. I’m hoping the MC discovers a cure for Vera, and he realizes he’s in love with Vera all this time, and they get married and spawn a bunch of mathematician prodigy super babies...
Who's the older sister? huhuhu I hope that Lu Zhou will reciprocate Vera's romantic feelings to him Vera is so pure and very good at what she does <3. #TEAMVera
From latest chapter (1425), this novel is like pre-apocalypse world (universe B) in I Have a Mansion in the Post-apocalyptic World (universe A).
I know, what’s up with that?!
The tone of the novel changed dramatically, it's a bit weird but like Ive stuck with the book this far let's see where it goes
I have a suspicion that this new arc will answer the biggest question the MC has...where did his “system” come from? Did the MC send it back into the past?!
Also, team Vera! Is she still in ice?
True,, I quite like Chen Yushan actually but I would very much like to see Vera get better, sometimes I feel like the author totally forgot about her and their initial ambiguous feelings. But ngl I'm team yushan
According to the raws, he’s now the wealthiest person on earth...
Next chapter, he wins the Nobel!
