So I’m in search of names of mythical animals/beast for a story I’m working on right now. It would be very helpful if you could also give a short description with the name. The beast themselves won’t appear but are set as the ancestors of the different „beastmen“, still working on that name as well, and the „kings“ of the different clans will be able to access their ancestors power in a form of atavism. honestly my advice is take various mythologies, got to wikipedia and look the full list of name. you then can easily see whitch has a theme that you like. as for creature, if you want one that is/look good, just focus on adding aspect that you find pleasing relative to the créature theme as for on that is/look evil, just do the opposite. look inside your fears and think about what would make you unconfortable. that way you get creatures that are original, since you built them from scratch their description will look real and you might surprisse your audiance ^^
