I hope the MC will start using his most OP and overlooked ability: The 66th rank vampire sword thingy which lets he steal other's abilities... Honestly the novel is pretty good, but just thinking about all the people and monsters he killed without trying to steal their abilities... It's quite disappointing.
Problem with skill stealing novels...getting the wrong one. In To Deprive a Deprived Person, MC stole a dragon ability, which without dragon body kills the skill holder. Also, you don’t want to show your trump cards, to other people, yet another problem with skill stealing novels.
Yeah that's true, he couldn't really use it too blatantly, especially not when he was partying with those brothers. But for example when Bild couldn't fight back down where the "Stone" (Magic Heart/Engine) was being made; the MC just left him to die in the fire. And he was pretty much the strongest guy MC had ever met at that point who had climbed a lot of floors, so he should've had a lot of skills to potentially steal. Like at first I thought MC was pretty smart for not blatantly showing it off, and in close fights where one mistake could cost his life then killing the opponent is obviously more important than a chance to steal a skill... but like I said I feel like it went a bit too far, to the point where he's practically never using it and it's a huge waste of a 66th rank. Like honestly it should probably be even more useful than the Draconic Eyes imo.
It might be too random for him...I can see him using it fighting a foe who has a skill that would work well with his current skill set...like a dragon, to boost his inheritance. But using it on every strong foe he meets would give him a bunch of garbage skills. He has no way to erase skills that are detrimental to him, remember? He should focus on skills he encounters that will significantly help him. He’s a soldier after all, he’s tactically talented and aware. Plus, plot armor is specified to limit his growth for now.
the complete downside of this novel is that it's completely wordy and repetitive about the statements, the previous chapter was completely describing how the armor was the absolute treasure and its effect. Now is a whole chapter describing the orb of mana again and saying the same about sacrifices repeting it again and again like if we were stupid
imho he should just take the crystals and kill anyone who disagrees. I don't think there was any rule saying you can't kill your "teammates", right? If there's no teammates then there won't be anyone who can destroy the enemy team's crystals, unless the enemy team for some reason decides to destroy their own crystals and lose?... Even if MC gets completely screwed over because someone realizes he want to capture all the crystals and destroy one just to fuck him over, the one-horned siblings have already shown that you can re-do the same floor again. So in the worst case MC should just rush through the 10 floors to get the new world record, then come back to the first floor and redo floor 1's trial.
Oh so Phante & sis failed on their first attempt, I never considered that, so maybe it's not possible to redo floor trials if you've already succeeded once. Depending on how it works, if one or more of the crystals is destroyed, then maybe the MC will have to choose between going for world record and forfeiting the first trial and redo it for that perfect victory. Either way he'd miss out on one of the keys.
That was great! A massive, ruthless crush... But...but...but... Inconspicuous? Nah...I guess he decided that since being inconspicuous was impossible, get most of the players to drop out. New chapter in the manhua...and drastic drop in in translation quality.
Reckon the dragon will give him anything? I would rather he doesn't complete the dragon body for him though
