Name: Second Life Ranker Raw Link: Do Not Know NU Link: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/second-life-ranker/ Why It Should Get Picked Up: Pretty good KR novel. Nothing revolutionary but a good read and was pretty popular at the time. Has a following from the previous translation team and its Webtoon. Could not find where the raws are. Description: Yeon-woo had a twin brother who disappeared five years ago. One day, a pocket watch left by his brother returned to his possession. Inside, he found a hidden diary in which was recorded “By the time you hear this, I guess I will be already dead….” Obelisk, the Tower of the Sun God, a world where several universes and dimensions intersect. In this world, his brother had fallen victim to betrayal while climbing up the tower. After learning the truth, Yeon-woo decided to climb the tower along with his brother’s diary. “From now on, I am Jeong-woo Cha.”
It was taken down on author's request. It might create problems for those who pick it up, unless they buy out TL rights from the official publisher or something.
the already translated chapters are out there. Though I think webnovel or some big company is trying to get rights to the english translation.
Just to clarify a bit what happened with this: The ppl that were translating this asked the author for permission (instead of making an offer, you know? like the world works) and, of course, the author said NO (that was the only outcome, dunno what they were thinking was gonna happen. Even if the author was cool with this being fan translated, this is not a free novel, it's behind a paywall, which means publishers, shareholders, etc.. essentially a bunch of ppl involved, so for legal reasons he can't say yes). It's not what some ppl here say: the author did not actively stopped the fan translation AT ALL, he was forced to by the people that were translating this. There was no DMCA or C&D, just a crap load of wishful thinking and naivete xD Hope WW makes a move on this one, since it's quite an entertaining novel. Peace!
I'm not gonna deny this, the first half is completely true. Asking was definitely naivety from our part. But please, don't bring misunderstandings with "clarifications" that you aren't even clear about. The author did say that he would've sued TK if he had found about the translation from other sources and not from us bringing it up to him (which obviously scared tf out of TK, since he lives in Korea).
i have the mtl version of it of chapter 100 to 115-something idk, and the raw but only a few chapters, but it's on google drive, would you like it?
