why does it not work....sometimes some novels just straight up don't get filtered out (cough PMG) and it makes me rage a little was even gonna put a spoiler on why I dropped PMG but after writing it out I got so fucking mad I just deleted it
If you don't want PMG (+ others) to show, please use the http://www.novelupdates.com/reading-list/ feature. Create your reading list -> 'List Settings' (Top right) -> Hide From Main Release Page. Tutorial: http://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/reading-list-tutorial.3120/
I'm using the series filtering... http://www.novelupdates.com/series-filtering/ inputting the name of a series there stops it from popping up on your feed, and it works....except for some novels :v its like release filtering (which you can use to block certain tags, like how I'm blocking yaoi and shounen ai) @Tony ^
You are misunderstanding, putting series on the series filtering does NOT stop them from appearing on your feed. To make them actually stop, do the following. 1) Reading List. 2) Global Settings -> Enable Reading List. 3) List Settings -> Hide from Main Release Page. 4) Put series you don't want to be shown on your feed on your Reading List. If you do it like this, you'll solve your problem, hope this helps! Feel free to ask for anything in case it still wasn't clear!
It's an old feature that came before the reading list, the main use was to put the releases you wanted to look at in one place... Now that the reading list actually exists, it's kinda obsolete, it wasn't removed because many people still use it.
Same principle as water filter. You get a clean version of it. (unless it's seriously dirty to the point it can't be filtered.) I've read this somewhere. I'm having a dejavu feeling.
wait...so then the nature of this bug is different now....because it WAS blocking at least 2 novels from showing up on my feed LOL
