    Okay so a few days ago i posted a joke thread which asked if anyone has a good netorare story. For those who don't know netorare is where the MC or someone else's love interest get stolen. But immediately after i posted the thread i got comments like "there are no good NTR novels" and "you used the wrong adjective" or something like that. But my question is why all the hate?

    I am personally not a fan of it because i never read any novels which contained it but I still don't get people have such a deep rotted hate for this genre. As an example i will use "Sister violated many times in dream and reality"... i have to admit it is a pretty cringe worthy title, but what i saw was that after the first chapters were posted there were so many 1 star review that it shocked me.

    I highly doubt that there is a genre as hated as this one on this site which intruigse me ti find out why you guys hate it so much, is it because most of them are just bad?, have you had any probllems with you getting NTR'ed in real life? or is there something else which make people hate it? That is something i am not sure of but what i am sure of is that NTR is probably one of the most hated genre here on novel updates at least as far as i can see alongside Yaoi but that is a discussion for another day. So my final question for you is "why the hate of NTR?"

    most likely because ppls hate watching love interests get stolen one way or another so they are extremely prejudiced against it :censored:

    Because people are afraid of real life. NTR is too real for most readers. They prefer remaining in their plot armor coccoon where everything goes the MC's way.

    Honestly, for me it's just a "gut" feeling(idk if it's the appropriate term). I get nervous and it puts me in a bad mood whenever i read NTR(intended as "forced", i'm fine with cheating) in a novel, so i try to steer as far away from it as possible xD
