So Shaman King got a few new manga arcs and maybe a new side manga around spring, I was wondering to ya'll ol school Shaman King loyalist like me (although I haven't read the manga) would you want Shaman king to get a remake like (HxH), remaster or continue off from where it left off? I myself would like for a remake like HxH where it starts off from beginning and flows right into the new arcs having the original voice cast would be tons better as well. I heard the original didn't end the way the Author wanted do to problems with publication and its rights were recently bought by another magazine There are a few series like Shaman King I'd really love to have a remake of for instance M.A.R (Marchen Awakening Romance), Flame of Recca and I could go on. But for now lets focus on Shaman King.
remake, since the manga ending was better than the anime's. At least I think so? Can't remember. I read it like 8 years ago. Pompadour guy x trucker all the way.
Man, I used to love Shaman King dubbed in my language when I was a kid. Used to watch it every morning before school while eating my breakfast. I remember a few years back I tried to watch it again, and just couldn't go through with it thinking it didn't age well, maybe I was just in a badmood and need to give it another shot, I just haven't thought about it in so long!
The anime ending is not cannon. Anime over-simplified Hao as a villain. At least in the final edition of the manga, Hao managed to see the error of his ways, despite being invincible after having gained the ultimate powers.
I can only vaguely remember bits and pieces from the anime and manga. There was a zombie dude that dissected this guy, a polar bear that got shot by a poacher. The man protagonist was hella chill, and his brother was the main villain. If I remember it ends with the main villain becoming god, but he has a change of heart so he turns out okay at it.
Ewww dub...well I actually liked the english dub for what it was back then myself I watched the dub of Shaman King over again maybe 4 or 5 yrs ago myself but I switched to the Japanese one just cause I had watched the english as a kid all the way through and wanted to see how the Japanese one stacked up I mean I've seen some anime that was continued years later act like it was an introduction to new readers while starting where the original manga left off. I was like wtf but now I can't even remember the name. I always meant to watch Fullmetal alchemist Brotherhood but the first one i didn't like so much so when I started watching Brotherhood and everything was so different it shocked me so much that I couldn't be mister know it all and predict what was about to happen. I mean HOW MUCH DID THE ORIGINAL DIVERGE!! Uh the end antagonist technically was his Ancient ancestor... technically born as his twin I think? I don't remember much of how that worked. Yeah this MC is the chillest I'd seen in a long while not many actually compare till this day.
Honestly, I felt that anime ending wasn’t as great as the manga one so I would definitely want a remake. I also really liked Anna. She’s awesome
Oh, I know. I tried to read it when it came out. Didn't really like it all that much. I think it confused me or something. Still, og shaman king ftw. RESURRECCIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!(from the latin american op- gotta love it)
I think it was called shaman king flower or something like that. Didn’t the author decide to discontinue that series?
