Status: Duke's successor Age: 26 Hanael: Serena's niece. Hasn't seen her actual mother for the last 5+ year, refers to Serena as mommy. She's set up as a very cute character. In her 1st appearance she runs out of school shouting mommy and hugs Serena's leg. This makes it very hard for Serena to say she's not her daughter (just a little) Age: 5+ Status: Unk. likely commoner Amy: Hanael's mom??? Serena's sister??, Job Archmage. She hasn't been seen in over 5 years. Age: Unknown. Most likely 17+ and likely no more than 40 Status: Likely Commoner?? Abel: completely unknown, possible 2nd ML or actual ML ------------------- Setup: Serena and Cassius attended the same academy 6 years ago (what? How?) and were friends. At his coming of age party (age 20), Serena got drunk and had a one night stand with him. This has a lot of potential. I hope that she lays the facts bare and he continues to be stupid. I really want him to stay true to his family name and be an idoit. (WTF is with that family name Idois lol)
Spoiler Sierra said that her sister has some sort of dangerous mission since she's an archmage. Even Hanael's father, who according to Sierra is the owner of the tower, is involved in the very important mission. That must be why she hasn't visited her daughter. Sierra's sister also told her to not reveal her skills. Must be the reason why she's in a rural village.
Spoiler: What If Hanael is actually mc's own daughter and for some reason she got unstable mind maybe because duke "abandoned" her as the duke said and since mc's sister is an archmage..maybe she used mind control or something that altered mc's mind because she couldn't bear to watch her sister suffering and she just told mc that the child was hers not mc's...maybe we also have an unreliable narrator tag cause mc mentioned that hanael was not her child and that they don't EVEN look alike but then we got to the duke's pov with him saying he couldn't refuse hanael's request (when she ordered him to pay for the house bills) because even though she is "he's" child that he only met for the first time, he mentioned that hanael really resembled and look like mc Well, this is just some speculation since my mind is kinda...i don't know, because I've been reading too much novels.
Spoilers? Def interested? Edit: since this is a Naver exclusive, I assume like the series I took the MLs first Night we get novel art? I mean, TL has it? Do we know what sis and bro-in-law looks like? Admittingly, since her sister IS a great mage, it IS possible for her to alter her memory, though it opens the possibility WHY she needs to have the possibility of that memory be altered. I agree with the unreliable narrative though. For both sides for me. Other than Hanael's hair color being a darker shade than MC, they DO share the same eye color (not surprising since they're related in some way), plus ML in his long obsessed unrequited love glory, he just probably wants MC to be by his side (but ofc prefers to have the best outcome of Hanael being his daughter) Edit2: Anyone access to ch.35-36 of the novel, title wise it seems to be a strong turning point and leaning to either denial or Hanael being obv not their blood related child
