https://www.novelupdates.com/series/shift-the-side-character-heroine/ new qidian novel I'm not understanding anything. I understood more or less her plot, but ... it doesn't make sense! it doesn't make sense even more to translate ... For what audience? is this a novel about harem novels for the male audience, made for the female audience? Is it a qidian advertisement? I thought it would be like these novels: Quick Transmigrating Second Female Lead’s Counterattack Quick Transmigration Cannon Fodder’s Record of Counterattacks Side Character Transmigrations: The Final Boss is No Joke but it's not. Yep, now i'm a hater!
Don't know about the quality of the novel but this first bit of the synopsis makes no sense. So contradictory. How can her isolation be inadvertent when it was imposed by herself? Makes no sense.
Amusing read and is similar to a fan fic of multiple famous works like school days and your lie in april
"An introverted girl has had enough of the isolation inadvertently formed by her self-imposed isolation." I feel that this should not be the opening line of the synopsis of this novel. Well these are the key points that should be mentioned to not give readers a different view about the novel: Average polite pretty face girl with no special traits or sense of presence. She doesn't feel isolated, she just goes along with the flow and agrees with everyone. She is also rich missy but basically never shows off and even asks the driver to drop her off a block away from school. Basically not having a personal opinion in the beginning. As the story progresses she obtains various cards and even wrecks havoc in couple of literary works. Her first iconic card is the Xu Jing which she uses to concentrate and work hard in studies, cooking, violin. Her second iconic card is the Yu Shufeng card which she uses for having exceptional gaming talent along with a poisonous mouth and being proficient in multiple languages. Currently in the latest chapters she is in the literary world of her classmate (who's in love with her & wishes to use that work as a closure to his first love, our Fl)(main mc in the work is an embodiment of how he visualizes Mc in real life....Lol..this one feels so real because it had happened to me xD )
im reading currently this novel, although the progress seems slow and some find it boring i see it interesting and calming,i tried to find some raws/spoilers but found nothin
Well, she hooks up with like ‘fictional characters’ and she’s only hooked up with one girl in real life. It’s a good read when you get it and all. It won’t be like the other quick transmigration novels since instead of a system, she has this ‘Two Dimensional Gate’ which allows her to go to fictional words by possessing a female character in it. She then after completing her ‘task’, she’ll get this card-like thing where as long as she activates it, she’ll become that female character irl, but a washed down version for ones with superpowers. As long as she activates the card enough, she’ll inherit those female character’s abilities and all these cards are part of her, just like a different personality. She turned to yuri because she felt men were like disgusting and lustful pigs and stuff like that. She has the claim to back it up in the novel, so don’t just immediately hate her for it since none of the guys in the novel are worthy of her except these 3 guys who, one of them is gay, the other only respects her, and the last one likes her, but he wants his love to be unrequited since he feels she’ll become a love-sick fool if she actually falls in love even with him. Another reason she turned to yuri is because she treats her character cards like her wives. Her character cards are all probably the epitome of female personalities and looks and because of that her standards have risen rather highly and practically detests the idea of pursuing love. SPOILER: Spoiler She actually never ends up/confirms a relationship with that one girl she hooked up with. So she might’ve stayed single til the very end. But the end of the novel kinda ruins that idea as a ‘human/rl’ persona of her and the author, Drunk For Her are described. FYI, Drunk For Her is actually also a character in this book and in the ‘original’ storyline, had she never had the two dimensional gate, she would’ve ended up marrying Drunk For Her. P.S.: Is there any more novels you guys know of by the author of this book, Drunk For Her? If you do know of any, please let me know! Thank you if you do!
everything could've been better executed but if I just turn off my brain, it's an interesting story. it certainly was something like hetero bait, which made me feel a little frustrated but touche in consideration for any other type of romance bait. at some point it becomes blatantly obvious that it's just fanfiction gone viral since it pokes fun at real trends and tropes in fiction. it has a similar edge to "I Really Am a Superstar" but more immature as it tries to go with an immersive theme (like an actor getting too caught up in a role). self-insert redacted. I wish that was a feature of the story, thinking back I do think that was the case, but I wish they cranked up the narcissism and self-absorbed love so that it got across through someone as dense as me.
Completed this novel so i can only give two cents about it Spoiler Actually decent for a while but it's not for everyone, near the end has more Yuri undertones and latter world gets more increasingly confusing that i almost want to skip it to ending. Ending is the most ??? for me, maybe it was axed near the end? Also her reasonings are questionable on RL portions too... Spoiler She made herself like a background character after gaining too much fame as a streamer... And the public didn't notice her after just having a change in hairstyle, etc.? That's utter BS Would not recommend at all, but personally I have fun on reading it completely. Spoiler: List of Notable worlds for Me Your Lie In April (Kaori that has Tsubaki undertones, doesn't like the Male MC though) School Days (Kotonoha with a Yuri Twist) The Witcher (she literally became Ciri's sister - also yuri) King's Avatar (BM Master with a sad backstory and ending) Bakuman? (The Book eater)
Yeah, I totally agree for the most part. She technically turned lesbian for herself, so the narcissism is quite strong.
