nah it ok even if other take it this cat still fine as long as the new group consistent on good sense~ translator for this series kinda mia few time perhaps dunno why
Yeah, they seem to have done that sitting-on-chapters -thing again. *sigh* I mean, no matter how good your translation quality, if they're not released in a way people see them, they might as well not exist. And no... at least I am not going to join discord channels and what not to investigate in depth what drama is going behind the scenes... I'm a consumer who uses NU for all updates. I don't have the interest to jump through flaming hoops like a circus lion for any series... I do have other things that I can procrastinate my time with. I mean, I like RTDs translation quality and all... but come on, gimme a break, will ya? UPDATE: Building a buffer without other translators grabbing a series goes like this: You keep a consistent and reasonable update frequency You translate faster than your fixed schedule to build up buffer Profit If you don't do the first point (f.ex. one chapter per two weeks/month), then readers will lose trust and give up on you, other translators will take over, and you burn all you worked for in a panicked attempt to claim the series for yourself... ...and at least in my case, if I've already read and understood even a mediocre machine translation, I most likely won't go back and re-read some older chapters from the middle even if they are better work. Your blood, sweat and tears will be wasted effort. Note that the schedule has to be consistent and reasonable, that's kinda important here. Now then, if you can't build your buffer that way, then you can't have a buffer... you're simply not fast enough for that. If you think you can return to faster releases after your buffer is good enough, then if the release pace you set for yourself is faster than you can really output, your buffer will disappear into regular releases... and not the exceptional situations they probably are for. Thus, again, if you can't keep up the consistent and reasonable updates, then whatever buffer you gather will be completely pointless in the first place... they will be just delayed regular releases that cause you extra stress.
Well, i hope rtd just stop doing shinka no mi translation and let mashintranslation do it. Rtd need money right ? Please translate daily of it bitch, than taking hostage of a series lol. I already unbookmark all story translated by rtd, not worth waiting tranlated chapter done by a group that taking hostage of good series but slow in update
Their quality isn't really consistent anymore, especially whenever chapters get forced out of them like this. It's good that this new group is taking it seriously too, not just posting a small part if a chapter, and dropping it, like Asian Hobbyist did.
You guys should read both groups translations carefully, you'll see a vast difference in which this new group messed up. I do agree that RTD is far too slow, and should just drop the series if they have no intention of maintaining a regular schedule, but this Mashin translator isn't good enough to take over.
The problem is, they unwilling to let other take over. If you talk about quality, everyone who do their first project sometime starting below average in quality specially the one without editor which is the case with mashintrans. But at least that person willing to do it. With experience we can expect improvement. And i still hate rtd to taking hostage the series, even if their quality are considered the best in the universe , ah wait you cant become the best if you didnt show your translated project on time.. so. Yeah, fuck rtd
I don't mind be it rtd or mashine transformer it readable and that enuf for me if both drop it then so be it, similarly if both take it no problemo if drama pop up this cat just sit and munching cake~
Best of luck to the readers. The sad thing is that they are other popular novels to translate. No need for two groups to translate the same novel. It is redundant. Common Sense of A Duke's Daughter and Botsuraku (Expecting to Fall Into Ruin, I Became A Blacksmith) both have less then 20 chapters left so I was looking for a replacement. Shinka no Mi was one of the candidates but I ended up picking up Instant Death. Here is the question: Do readers prefer Asianhobbyist fighting over Shinka no Mi or translating Instant Death? I think most prefer the latter. Cheers!
Agree. As someone who always has to read MTL, I ony want someone to translate frequently . As long as its readable i dont care slightest about quality. Its better than MTL anyway. And its far better than having a better quality and indefinite schedule as RTD is doing.
To be fair, you were just scaring a chapter out of them, and the one you did was still translated fully by rtd, but that doesn't happen with everything you take as a teaser. Some translators just skip over the teaser chapter you did, thinking that it was a complete chapter.
Nothing is perfect. The readers usually let the translators know and they go back and complete the chapter. My point still stands, it's a waste to have two translator groups translating the same novel. As someone who pays for each chapter to get translated, it is essentially flushing money down the toilet Don't worry, I will see about translating entire chapters as teasers or threatening the new translators to retranslate my teaser at least. Cheers!
Its depend. If mashin make announcement about stopping translating like before when rtd give false hope to everyone, i think there is no need to consider rtd or other and just dump 4-5 chapter to tell them you will take over lol. But for now mashin not stopping so i think its best to give him/her time to try handling shinka no mi
Chapter 143 is a nightmare. It was funny at first until their body began ripping itself apart to not fight Seichi...
How many girls are in his harem at this point? I only remember the following girls -Yandere childhood friend -Ape girl -Donkey girl -Cursed girl - Teacher -Knight Captain -Demon princess -Middle school girl who changed herself Did I miss anyone?
Teacher wasn't all the way in yet, the knight captain isn't sure of her feelings yet, and they got a reservation for an ape lamia. There's also a Japanese hero of justice type girl, that looks like she's in the running for entry into the harem. Edit: they are also in the process of breaking Helen, one of his students, of her common sense, so she'll probably end up joining.
C151: huh, I was not expecting that level of complete reversal, but considering the villain, this may be more effective then killing him.
I think you forgot Zora? (I think that’s her name.) You know the medusa-like snake girl who turns all she looks at into stone until Seiichi gave her magic glasses that allows her to see without turning other people into stone. Anyway as of the more recent chapters, add Empress Amelia of Valsha Empire together with her sister princess Helen plus the Empress’ two closest escorts Riel (probably the head knight) and Suin (probably the head of reconnaissance and espionage) because she offered all four of them in marriage as a reward after saving her empire.
