Hello guys. So, my best friend just come back from HK yesterday and he gives me a Piaget Gouverneur Automatic (from the doc the watch came with) and I really like it. But when I know the price, it gives me a little shock. 21 grands, that's the price. I know that price is not really a thing for us (me and him), but 21 grands is more than enough for mid class family for more than 10-15 years in my country. Should I pay for it?

It’s a gift, just give him something nice in his birthday or any other special date and that’s it, as long as you can pay for it without too much struggle. NEVER mix money and friendship, that’s the best advice I can give you.
If an item worth 21 grand is nothing between the two of you and since it is a gift, just accept it and give something back later on.

He could've got that watch cheaper you know. One shop sells it for 21 another for 15... you get the picture right? *plot twist* someone gifted him that watch and he didn't like it lol
Smh , even if 21 grand is a lot for you it doesn't seem truly 'a lot' for you , you rich sh*t who doesn't understand friendship and gifts You have to obviously keep it without paying back but later find a gift that suits your friend !
