    From the website:
"Fast interpreter with very low startup time:"
That is a JavaScript INTERPRETER, that parses the JavaScript and Compiles equivalent C code....
Yes, languages and implementations are completely different things. The language is 100% interpreted. That people write "Compiler" that translate it into another language is completely seperate... And that the C code it was translated into is a compiled language is obvious...

And having finally figured out that @lnv and I were talking about completely different things...
What he means is literally my point.

Todays engines (like V8 from google) all translate JavaScript into WebAssembly. A language created solely for the purpose of fixing all the Bugs, Security Issues and Performance problems JavaScript has.

Originally intended as a JavaScript Extension, it became so popular that people already demand to completely deprecate JavaScript and replace it with WebAssembly. WebAssembly, compared to JavaScript is so well defined you can theoritcally translate all languages into it, meaning you could create your websites using C++ or Assembler (if you are brave)...
What would happen then is, you would send the uncompiled sourcecode of C++ instead of JavaScript, translate that locally to WebAssembly and run it.

What the engine does there is not JavaScript compilation. It translates the JavaScript into WebAssembly Byte-Code that then is interpreted by a WebAssembly engine...

TLDR: JavaScript is so bad, people invented a whole new language that they can translate it to, to make it actually good...
And that's the only thing I'm thanking JavaScript for, without it WebAssembly wouldn't exist...

Actually, it depends on what market you interested in. If coding, then most of times will be Android, iOS, Python, or Javascript. If design graphic, then Video Editing, or Content Creator (logo, BGM, etc). If language, then Translator, Editor, or Proofreader all has opportunity. If artistic, then drawing skill (anime background, images, etc). If generic, then Advanced Excel and Analytic skill, because there are a lot of Data Processing / Data Analyzer freelances around.

    Yeah reading it really hurts.
A snippet from the quickjs Manual:
For your information, the byte code mentioned is a custom format created for the quickjs compiler, its definition can be found in the manual too...

Srsly, talking about stuff you don't understand...

    Edit: Typo
Edit2: Somehow wrong quote in there...

Guys, thank you for this info (y) I'm one of the unlucky ones who lost their jobs during the quarantine. It so happened that my specialty is no longer in demand and I think that my colleagues will not be able to return to work for at least a year. And I don't have any spare money in my account and I have to provide for my family, so I need to find another way out of this situation. That's why I really liked this thread. I'm lucky to have a friend who works in IT. And he suggested that I take a course in network administration. And if I succeed, there is a service (cciedump.spoto.net) where students find help in studying for the Cisco certification exams. So, I want you to wish me luck.

I have been freelancing part time as an online content writer, editor and proofreader for a few years now but I didn't learn that online, I used to be part of our school's journalism team and I just used what I learned.

But lately, I have been wanting to try and learn the skills amd knowledge for "data entry" and basic programming too since a lot of online jobs are looking for people who have those skills and I don't know where to start.

And hey, will you really teach Chinese? Because I'm willing to learn haha

Well you couldn't exactly call me native, but truth to be told I grew up speaking in English more than I do in our own national language. In fact, I have some trouble recognizing some words in our own language because I wasn't really well versed on it.

This reminds me of when I think of some words in English before trying to translate them into my native language.

Doesn't happen often, but it is a bit awkward...

I believe that virtual assistant is a thing. You need to master english at least, and be proficient in the use of administratorial programs such as ms excel, acces, and the likes.

SEO and marketing will be quite handy, too.

From 1 to 10, how would you rate your English pronunciation skills? And, what type of accent do you have? (Australian, British, American...etc)

I am a native chinese speaker that was born in a catalan speaking autonomous region in Spain. If you are interested, I can offer you lessons in any of the three languages listed in exchange of conversations every week or few days to level up my fluency in english.

Wow, I would love to of course!(☆ω☆*)
Hmm~ definitely between 8-9, (For me 10 is for those who are truly confident in it, but then again some native Americans also doesn't have perfect pronunciation or grammar for that matter). As for accent, I don't think I really have one (unless I try to copy one). Our nationality is actually known to be 'accent-less.'
