The original four slaves were all sex slaves. Roxane and Sherry did indeed decide to be sex slaves in order to gain additional money and to be able to be sold to other clients (such as rich merchants or nobles). Miria didn't seem to understand but agreed with ability to eat fish (I believe she went from fish every 10 days to like fish every 5 days). MC did ask Vesta if she was a sex slave at the auction and said she was raised to understand that she would be used that way.

You are correct about Rutina not being considered a sex slave, but as a slave merchant, MC can change that if Rutina agrees (which at this point I would say that is a yes). Rutina is not dumb and now knows that the MC is the quickest way for her to become a titled noble in the future. If she is taken away from MC, she would more than likely gain her freedom (probably not her noble inheritance rights due to the Noble Council being involved) and would be forced to marry some random noble (probably not of her chose either). However if she stays with MC, she will potentially defeat multiple dungeons, able to interact with members of the Empire Society (which she doesn't know about yet), and at the very least become a Great Wizard within 6 months (I think that the MC has only been active for about 9 months and now knows methods to power level). Once her time with the MC is up (assuming that she wants to leave), she could easily join any labyrinth clearing parties and gain a noble status by her own hand rather than be given it through a political marriage.

 

The problem with this work once caught up is that the author spends like 0 time on it. Focusing on the LN version of it and his other works. Averaging a bit over 2 months per chapter lately.

Rutina will likely level up from Grand Wizard to the next tier within 2 years if she stays with MC. Mostly due to them being on floor 90 or something similar, giving insane experience per battle. Not sure if MC will have bothered to clear a dungeon even if it would be a walk in the park for him at that point. He could probably solo it due to all the passive buffs he would have and the next version of Hero's skill that increases speed and dmg should mean he doesn't get hit.

Yes. 216 was supposed to be in April, but the author was hospitalized. He has been writing on paper, though, so it MAY update this month.

 

Anybody know if the LN has big differences compared to the WN? I assume it has images and so on, which isn't that important. Was more thinking about editing of the content to make it flow better. The series' biggest weakness is that it can have very uneven pacing, where it doesn't even feel slice of life like. (I am still reading every release, so overall it is great.)

It would be a shame if it was dropped, it's a good slow paced and easy going novel, with charming characters (the girls I mean).
But seeing a new chapter release made my hopes go up.

 

The translator is still translating. The author is slowly writing it. Now that it got a manga maybe the author will put more focus on it.
