Random talk. I've been randomly sleeping within the range of 4-8 hours for the past week. Sporadic I know. And that made me realize. 4 hours of sleep seem to allow me to wake up instantly (no feeling of I wanna lie in bed longer), 6 hour give the in between feels and 8 hours make me feel like I wanna sleep longer. I usually wake up 5-11am depending on the day. So I've been thinking to myself, what would be the best time range for me to sleep so I have the best possible sleep. And I'm still looking at what's nice for me. How about you guys? Oh yeah if you're wondering why I slept for 4 hour. It was XCOM 2 midnight for me that day. 6+ hours of XCom and milk coffee Monday's coming so that'll be a normal day again.
I sleep from 2am to 6am daily. More or less would make me sleepy and sloppy at work. It's really sad that when I disable my alarm, I still woke up at 6. Just like today.
My body automatically wakes up when I sleep for 6-7 hours, though I can ignore and sleep until 12 hours (in the weekends), though sleeping for more than 9 hours gives me a headache.
I've never really been a regular sleeper. Sometimes I sleep lots, other times I hardly sleep.....Uni messed up my sleep cycle big time, never really recovered.
Working, I'm usually 11pm - 6am Not working... i go nocturnal. 6-7 hours is best for me. Able to wake up, any later than that and alarms don't work. Earlier and i turn into a grouch.
For most of my adult life (I’m 32), 9 hours was optimal, 8 was okay, and anything less than that was no good. Even getting nine hours wouldn’t stop me from feeling exhausted periodically throughout the day. (Probably because of my low blood pressure.) Recently, though, I’ve been okay with much less sleep. For example, I slept about five hours last night and felt fine all day. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Honestly don’t know why. Then again it’s now only 9:30, and I have been considering going to bed for the past hour and a half...
If you're an adult it's recommended that you get 7-8 hours of sleep. Although I do find that since I've gotten older I don't need to sleep as long as when I was younger but apparently 7-8 hours is the optimal time. You just need to make sure you can function for a whole day running on that amount of sleep.
Quality of sleep shouldn't be counted just on the number of hours, but the time when you sleep too, the best time known for sleeping is 9-10pm, just try it. But you shouldn't forget that our body and mind aren't that simple and they may adapt or get used to things and don't belittle the external interferences too like coffee, lamp lights or screen lights (blue rays are known that they'll make you stay awake more). So if want the best sleep quality you need to remove/handle these interferences first. Your brain got used to this -bad- sleeping schedule, and that's normal and useful (many people wish waking up early without alarms) but quite harmful for the body and mind in the long run. If you want to adjust your biological body clock, it's easy but at the same time depends if you are willing to do it or not: Just sleep in the wilderness -an environment where there is no humanmade lights (except for a small torch for anything unexpected)- for a week, then you'll recover it. ps: All this is scientifically proven with studies, do your research. If you don't have enough time to research or don't know where, take the channel "what I've learnd" in the youtube platfrom as a reference.
I'm rregular in both in number of hours i sleep and what time of day I sleep. Generally I'll sleep between 2 and 4 hours every 18 to 26 hours. LoL in the past my sleep cycle worked it's way around the clock, sleeping for 3ish hours then staying awake for 24ish + hours.
I'm usually sleep 8 hours. Sometimes from midnight to 8am or 2am to 10am. Sometimes I sleep really late and wake up at 1pm... weekends are nice.
I got scolded so much by my mom for needing 9 hours of sleep because of this wisdom. It really wasn’t my fault that I had a body that needed more. ╭(╯^╰)╮She would also go on ranting about studies that showed that if you got more than 8 hours of sleep, you increase your risk for heart attack or heart disease, I don’t remember which. (╥﹏╥)
