I just saw Coiling Dragon in QI so guess RWX approved them to host it?
Internet Explorer user is here.
I remember rxw said in past that qi had deal with ww that qi could dual host finished qi novels? So warlock of magus world is on webnovel too.
But pretty sure they aren't friends since rxw will sue qi ??
There is a video on deathblade saying something about it for one title. He never mention other title in that video.
There supposed to be a deal between WW and QI, unfortunately we never know what the deal is.
QI claim that the deal allow them to “dual host” while WW said no (either no such deal or the deal are off)
The proper term is frenemies.
Nope they aint
This is QI we're talking about. Why are people so surprised?
They solve everything by shoving money down the other person's throat...
The are some NDA stuffs but, if you have the time to browse through NuF archives, the tall tale of WW & QI is all there. the amount of pages of discussion is equivalent to a CN anyway.
Isn't WW ripping off QI?
I've seen some novels that are locked and paid for by stones on QI posted for free on WW, and I've never seen WW update new chapters before QI
You're thinking of an illegal pirate site which copies everyone's translations and is impersonating Wuxiaworld in an attempt to gain legitimacy and fool people like you. Wuxiaworld's website is https://www.wuxiaworld.com/ - please don't support piracy.
There are no permanent friends or enemies, but permanent interests.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Ah, thank you for telling me.
A few clarifications:
1) Qidian and Wuxiaworld are competitor companies that had friendly agreements in the past, but negotiations broke down back when Qidian International was released.
2) RWX will not sue QI, he said he would in the past, but already denied those statements in reddit, something about his lawyer saying he'd need 25,000 USD in advance and over 100,000 USD to do it.
3) As far as readers know, Qidian International is allowed to host any Qidian novel, that was completely translated by WuxiaWorld, in their international site.
According to WW, QI is not allowed to host any novel that was not completely translated; according to QI, they have the right to dual-host all the novels that WW is translating from Qidian.
We have no idea which one is saying the truth because of NDA and stuff, but they both have the right to host the completely translated ones at the very least.
Wait, for no 3, QI have right to post all finished novel, is this confirmed?
Not true, unless RWX has said something more recently saying otherwise I missed. Last time I know he mentioned it:
I mean you can argue that RWX is lying and just trying to put on a front, but from an official standpoint, RWX says the suit will be coming.
There is a video from Deathblade talking about it. I never watched it myself, but I mentioned it numerous times in different threads and asked anyone that bothered with watching the video to correct me if I was mistaken about what was said... Nobody denied this claim, so I pretty much took it as given.
You'd better watch the video yourself if you want proper confirmation though.
Ah, I saw this post, AFAIK that's just him putting up a front since he himself denied that in reddit a long time before he made this post.
Don't expect a lawsuit to ever happen, but maybe he will do it one day I guess.
Sorry but.. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA..!!
Ah thanks for the clarification!
I thought rxw would sue once ww finish tl all qi novels ww got, but makes sense if they don't since that sounds really pricy
