Hi everyone, I'm desperately trying to find the title of a manga I read long time ago. It was a story into a fantasy world, and when you enter the "school" I guess, or something like that, there is a black parrot/raven (that is smoking) who say what your role will be into this "world". We follow the story of a guy (black hair) who want to become a really high priest or exorcist (i don't remember clearly, it was the highest rank possible) and when the raven say what his role will be, it say "Maou" (the Demon King ). This manga is completed, with ecchi, Romance, comedy, actions, adventures... But I can't find the title Can someone help me please ? If you need more details, just ask Thanks in advance !
It's originally a novel, let me find it for you Edit: here it is http://www.novelupdates.com/series/ichiban-ushiro-no-daimaou/

Ah I know this one.... Blue Exorcist right? The dude controls blue flames and his brother who is already an exorcist is his teacher I think
YAYYYYYY That's it !!!! Yeah, thank you !! Thank you all !! @LollipoPReapeR : No no, it's not Blue Exorcist :3 Because into Blue Exorcist, he is "just" the son of Satan, and want to become an exorcist. But he is not the Maou
I remember watching the anime version a few years back then and its feel like the ending is rush. Is the novel version better or are there difference in story between anime version and novel?
thats a shame.the novel is even pretty long and translated so Im hoping that it will piques my interest for a while. oh well by the way where did you find that video its quite funny
I haven't read the manga yet or watched the anime, so I can't compare them (except to say that a 12 episode series is obviously going to be extremely different when compared to a 13 volume novel), but I think the novel was pretty good overall. It did kind of go downhill after the first few volumes (not bad at all, just doesn't compare to the really strong start), but the main flaw in my opinion was some pacing issues throughout the story. Regarding the ending: (not any plot spoilers, just spoilered for people who don't want the slightest hint of how it ends) Spoiler I wouldn't really call it rushed, just... odd, and not really settling anything in a normal way, so the story sort of ends without the kind of resolution you're expecting. And that's after the plot sort of drags on in the parts leading up to the ending.
