This is kinda frustrating, these fantasy worlds have magic capable of building towns in moments but use it to kill dragons.

 

That’s because Dragons are worse than soil erosion, floods, earthquakes, and storms...

 

They could make dragon-proof cities. Nooooooo, it's better to kill those beautiful and absolutely strong dragons.

 

Killing dragons is more profitable, and most mages who are not combat trained and high level are not going out into the wilderness to build a town from scratch.

But ya, the lack of applying magic to the world properly is a error in most authors world building.

I see this is going to be one of those novels where poor Common-sense-chan is taking out back and violated often. Poor common-sense-chan.

 

The bad thing is Takumi does not really have cheats other then growth rate, and an imagination.

Pretty much everything he is doing that is breaking their minds is something well withing what they should be able to do on their own if they cared and tried.

As much as people like to complain or put down Medieval Europe, while they were lacking and resources and technology, they were not lacking in ingenuity or creativity (literacy and education are a bit hard since the standard for literacy was competency in Latin, not the local language or even the language of commerce, French for quite a while, and there was little need to learn to read a language that they did not speak making the numbers fall short of the real education level in a lot of cases) to and did use everything available to them to the best of their ability. Settings like this they do not.

In some cases is it not common-sense-chan getting taking behind the barn and beaten with a bag of doorknobs, but the MC being common-sense-chan and shouting at the people that they are falling short of their capabilities, and giving them glimpses of their potential.
