It was mentioned on the manga page of this novel, but from what I've seen, the person was wrong. Just wanted to confirm with people who might have read the actual raws of the novel. The raws are only 62 chapters in and iirc there is no mention of a childhood friend, that's why I thought you linked the wrong novel...
Considering how many manga comnenters are trolls or incells that basically do not understand the difference between being kind and leading someone one, and use the word to mean you crush choosing a different guy, instead of the act of betrayal it requires. Take those comments with a grain of salt.
