To be honest, I just want something a little more immersive than usual. It just needs to be a little more immersive than just your typical face-slap stories or fluff-and-random-drama for romance stories. I really want a story that actually implements its setting and characters well. Such as: nobles should feel like nobles, not overly 2D villains that are there for convenient story arcs or shallow character development. That type of thing. I know it is a vague request, but I looking for anything that is just a little more immersive than usual.
Have you tried reading transmigrating to the 70's to farm, haha. I found that these are oddly immersive. Ah, mostly it's girls transmigrating. You also learn a lot of Chinese history, btw. Some of my faves: Back to the Sixties: Farm, Get Wealthy & Raise the Cubs Strict Wife of the ’70s Manages the Household The Green Tea’s Crushing Victories in the ’70s Bai Fumei in the ’70s How to Thrive in the ’60s
I recommend the following two: 1. Reverend Insanity - link: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/reverend-insanity/ 2. Lord of Mysteries - link: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/lord-of-the-mysteries/ They are some of the most immersive novels I have ever read and are both masterpieces in very different ways. Reverend Insanity is my favourite, but read both in whatever order you feel like after seeing the synopsis and genre.
