So I recently started reading Crimson Dragon and I started wondering if there was anything else like it? To be more specific: 1. Nonhuman 2. Stays nonhuman 3. Not re-monster -_-
Never read Crimson Dragon before but the best non-human protagonist is from I Reincarnated Into a Vending Machine The MC picks up thirsty chicks like a boss. Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho is also a decent read. Kinda cliche but works as a time killer. I can't think of anything with the same atmosphere as Re: Monster or Goblin Kingdom though. Oh I almost forgot about Invisible Dragon. 10/10 Best story by far. The story flows smoothly and the transitions are perfect. Its entirely original without any overused tropes. Perfect story 11/10
Yuusha no Furi mo Raku Janai–Riyuu? Ore ga Kami dakara– - MC is a Japanese God The Death Mage Who Doesn't Want a Fourth Time - MC is a half-vampire Douluo Dalu - MC is half grass Mr. Nobu's Otherworld Chronicles - I think the MC is a reincarnated demon lord, but everything points to that just working out as a normal humanoid. Also, slow updates. Lazy Dungeon Master - Can you be considered human if you sleep 20 hours a day? I think that makes you a cat. Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear - mc is a bear. not really. Dungeon Hunter - MC is a humanoid demon lord. Not a nice person though. After All I'm a Lolicon Really Sorry - Lolicons aren't people, they're monsters.
Vamp! There are many MC. One of em is a pool of blood Kore wa Zombie Desuka. An immortal zombie. Baccano! A bunch of immortal. Spirit Migration. MC is a wandering spirit that possess another being.
At the Northern Fort Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Strange Life of a Cat The Experimental Log of the Crazy Lich Woof Woof Story ~ I Told You I am a Rich Person’s Dog, Not Fenrir ~
Iron Teeth: A Goblin's Tale was really well done over on RRL. Check that out if you haven't yet, better than Goblin Kingdom imo.
If you are into Super Hero story or just feel like giving it a shot. The Vespidian is prety good, it is RRL. MC gets mutated into a wasp monster and has to cope with the changes to her mind as well as body. Vesper is a fairly goofy character trying to be human granted her idea of normal is very warped after the changes and it leads to some awkward situations. Over all the story is on a darker side at times while also being light hearted and fun at others.
