Without the forced out of nowhere romance. My reading list is missing an absolute ton of novels I've read and or finished but can't remember off the top of my head.
The closest would be Mother of Learning Suicide Hunter really went downhill due to that bullshit romance arc.
I have seen Mother of Learning recommended more times than I could possibly remember. I'm considering biting the bullet on that one but I'll reserve that judgement for later.
Did not read, watched the first season. Subaru is a bit too (understandably) useless for lack of a better word.
