Lol ok, I’m not the best judge for music , but just the title of your question reminded me of one anime called Kaikan Phrase. Bass guitar is present in the anime. They got a lot of nice music there, even created 2 bands to do the sounds for that anime, one of them is called Lucifer. The song was called I think Midnight Crow, another one Datenshi Blue, also Silent Melody was good too.
I'm not sure if many/any of their songs are specifically *slap* bass, but I'd highly suggest exploring the Gorillaz discography, especially the song off their debut album (also named Gorillaz) titled "Double Bass". Feel Good INC. is also a nice relatively bass-heavy song.
