Strange, I find it better than most. It's in my regular reading list. This current arc is a little strange but overall the novel is good.

 

What is the Release schedule??

I hope the translators change this before completing this chapter because it makes no sense. It might help if they didn't take so many liberties with their translations

 

Since the translation rate is pretty consistent, I tend not to mind little things like that.

 

So glad Emperor Peafowl picked the exact moment he threw the Capitol into an uproar by selecting a new heir to go wandering the world. I mean, what's he actually going to do even if he finds a demon, exactly? I get it that it's just how the story progresses but I think it's a major story flaw.

 

True, it doesn't seem natural. He left everything in Jiang Chen's hands and left. And he knew that other great Emperor whose name escapes me will start trouble.

 

speakin of ten years... wasn't there a time frame given for elder shun to come back? it's been quite awhile since that old bastard left his grand-daughter behind and ran off to go look for that special wood (which hasn't been needed for years now), and he hasn't checked in after all this time...

Will the MC destroy the Great Scarlet Mid Region? I am just at the part before the competition. And I like looking at spoilers by looking at the title and reading a bit about them. It seems those from the Great Scarlet Mid Region have destroyed his sect and sold the people to some empire shit? So was Great Scarlet Mid Region destroyed by either the MC or the Sky sect? If so... What chapter? If not... dropped.

 

Yeah, he was kind of forgotten. I am sure when there is a Huang'er arc (I hope it isn't a kidnapping), that he'll show up.

 

He should be around 30+, right? Why did he seem to be forever 20+?

 

It does seem like a long time has passed. But since probably no one is adding it up, the author can get away with it.

 

I think he’s already over 20 before he got to the city...

 

I find it very annoying how his so called "retainers" are completely useless. It's like he's babysitting, really.

 

I think that's why peafowl didn't chose any successors from any of them, nor minded outside competition. But I think this is more of the author not having the desire or incentive to develop the side characters.

he does eventually go stomp out the scarlet region, I think either late 1300s or somewhere around the early 1400s. He takes a bunch of wandering cultivators with him while he's in the area for something else and seizes control of the region

 

This chapter had so much filler I thought it was True Martial World for a moment there.

 

I can't remember what happened to the sword birds. Can anyone please remind me?

 

For some reason I remember most/all of them got wiped out. But I don’t remember when.
