Wait what? How can you just give up your sovereign spark like that? You only have one divine clone of lightning. Are you ok with never practicing in the laws of lightning again? I don't see any reason why you would give this up. So long as there are no summons to act in your capacity as a sovereign, I don't see why you can't just keep it and go into secluded training for a time.

I mean, unless you're going to die (account inactive for months?) you should bear this prestige forever, and if you do die and then the laws will manifest your spark for some fortunate high god to fuse with. That, or other sovereigns wrests it from your dead body to bestow at their leisure.

 

Where is the appeal in becoming a sovereign? Although the strength increase is nice and all, you cant fight anyone, use your strength against anyone, who isnt either guarenteed to be equal or stronger then you, and even if your the stronger one, most likely you wont be able to win because they can run. I dont get it @.@ I truly did mean this as a question, I mean is sitting at the summit really that fun?

 

Well you wouldnt need to worry about dying anymore unless you offend a sovereign whos strength surpasses yours but the chances of that happening are unlikely which sounds a lot better to me than being a saint/god/highgod in the infernal realm where you can easily die just trying to travel around

 

Bonuses to learning rate and comprehension are probably the most worthwhile benefits to becoming a sovereign. Being a sovereign, or even a high god or any lesser being, isn't so much about fighting people as much as it is about the study and application of the laws. Mastery of the laws give you mastery over the world around you, to the point where high gods and sovereigns can begin to form their own planes of existence or otherwise shape the lives of mortals, gaining their worship and adoration.

As an existence that can perceive and affect the world around you on a scale few others can match, you are afforded almost whatever luxury you wish for. Except the ability to indiscriminately fight people evenly matched with you. Sounds like a real bummer. Better leave those sparks for those crazies who might enjoy such a thing.
