Discussion Spanish language is so ugly

What the fuck of a thread is this? "I hate Spanish", "I hate Spanish people"? Are you guys fucking joking? Since when is this kind of shit allowed here?

 

He dislikes the language, and the first thing he said was I have no issue with the people, he prefers Portuguese the language.


That is just a preference

Well actually of the romance languages, Romanian is the closest to latin in grammer.


And English is actually a Germanic language.

 

Spanish has a simpler phonetic than Portuguese: only 5 vowels and no nasals.

 

spanish is my motherlanguage and i must say....english is waaaay easier to write, at least for me....spanish is kinda annoying with so many verbs and stuff

 

Afaik Spanish is supposed to be like Portuguese but instead of speaking normally everyone lisps.

English borrows many words from Latin as well as Welsh, and other conquerors of Britain. Hence why swine and pig are for the same animal. Etymology of words is very interesting.

 

Yes but if I heard an unknown word in Spanish in 99.9% of the cases I know how to write it correctly. In English not so much.
Different languages have different strengths.

Spanish (Spain and Mexico variety) and Portuguese can converse verbally with somewhat to no mistranslation. Due to the common base of Latin.

All of his works have similar pacing and character development in my experience. Steelheart/Firefight are YA, so you shouldn't expect a rigorous adult tone going in.

On languages: English is a terrible language. Just very bad. It's my first language and I feel completely qualified to say it. If it weren't for America/Britain there's no way it would the dominant world language, just picking from a perspective of an easy to learn and utile language.
Spanish is far better from an ease of learning/use, flow, and beautiful writing.
