I'm not yet finish reading it but I'm already in the 100+ chapters so I can answer you... The angst part comes when Shi Luo(MC) and Yu Sui(ML) is still in their old club, FS. Yu Sui was cornered by his boss. Their boss wants to sell their team for money in some European Club. Yu Sui knew that they wouldn't survive in the foreign club, players who don't play well will be sold and tossed somewhere. So, as the captain, he bought the contract of others including Shi Luo. But since the MC's contract is for five years, he sell him off to the other domestic club. He brought with him his two other teammates and leave behind the MC. Yu Sui promised Shi Luo that he will sign him as a lifetime player he broke that. Oh, while also dealing with their shitty boss, Yu Sui was experiencing gastric bleeding. The ML loved MC already at that time. But the MC isn't thinking about that. They became official lovers after the ML came back and build his own club.
