I recently attempted to move my OS (win 10) onto my SSD. After following instructions online everything seemed fine, however, now my 50 GB SSD says it has a 13GB partition and only has 500 MB left on the disk, in addition, my computer says that the transfer never happened. After looking online I couldn't find anything helpful. If anyone has any ideas or fixes, it would be really appreciated.

Edit: And I realized that I posted this in the wrong thread. Not sure how to change that, if someone could tell me how that would be awesome.

Edit2: The problem has been solved.

Report the 1st post next time. And provide a link to the thread when you do.

Not if you're used to reporting stuff all the time due to people posting things on Novel General when they should be in General, or Novel Discussion when it should be in Novel General... >.>

Any number of things can cause what you're seeing. Most likely, there was a problem with partitioning the drive. Type Disk Management into the search field on your start menu. The first thing that comes up should be "Create and format hard disk partitions". Click that. Then check to see what the reported size of your drive is (accounting for both formatted and unformatted space).

try checking whether you ssd still works and where did the memory go.
    follow these steps:
    1. connect your ssd (if it is to be connected externally). open administrative tools from control panel.
    2. open computer management. select storage and you will be able to see the memory listing and partitions of all the hard disks(+ssd) connected to your pc
    3. if you see the ssd connected then just try formatting it if you can afford to lose the data.

P.s.: if you want i can send screen shots but i am using win8.1
