Star Wars is over. Its been utterly ruined. (Spoilers)

Star wars was alway shit. It was nothing but a fuck load of ideas stolen from other stories to begin with. As for tlj some shit is rushed yeah but the good v evil stuff is still there. Pointless cycle? THERE WAS ALWAYS A POINTLESS FUCKING CYCLE! THE ENTIRE DAMN SERIES WAS ALL ABOUT FUCKING CYCLES AND GOOD GOING BAD AND PASSED DOWN ROLES AND ALL THAT FUKKEN CRAP! This is really nothing new.

 

You know, the thing that confuses me more than AAAAAalll that is... what on earth does World of Warcraft have to do with star wars? look a few lines from the bottom. He says WoW twice. eh?

 

Un. Babylon 5 was good too. However, I hate the kung fu tactical battle in Legend of the Rangers. It's so chuuni and forced. Just because martial arts were expected in action movies around that time doesn't mean you have to shoot lasers with a punch!

 

Well there was the idea of a darker force in the sith. It was like a representitive of evil. The problem with it now is that there is no darker force. Anyway I just need to get this rage and hurt out of my system and let go of the franchise once and for all.

 

Star Wars kinda lost me when Disney bought it and went "NOPE!" then declared all the previously, mostly well-done, canon expanded universe as non-canon and not related and decided to do it themselves. >.>

The Star Wars rework which I am currently watching is quite decent.
'Wizards of the Coast' took it upon themselves to redo some of the
better movies from Earth. But contrary to the creators of the original,
they are working hard on doing it right.

That means that 'Walt Disney' never got to say a word in the whole
saga and most importantly... no Jar Jar Binks! I hate that
abomination, but so far I have to say that they are doing a fine job in
avoiding the plotholes of the original. The result is a dark and epic
space opera.

If they rework all thirty movies of Star Wars without a drop in quality
I'll become their fan. Though I hope that they have the decency to
stop at episode six. Even a complete rewrite wouldn't be able to
save episode seven.

 

Well, i always pretend that only the 3 original trilogy are the real star wars.. other than that are ripoff..

I've given up hope on there ever being a good Star Wars movie a long time ago. The first 3 movies were ok and did a whole lot for pop-culture and sci-fi. People need to accept that there will (probably) never be a new Star Wars movie that will come close to becoming such a hit that the originals were.

 

Yeah well I agree once Disney bought SW franchise I figured they would F it up big time.

You can tell at the beginning when they canceled Star Wars 1313 game that it was all going downhill. That game was looking great, and I'm sure it would have been but nope Disney had to F with it.

Yeah I enjoyed, Farscape, SG-1, Babylon 5, Andromeda. But lets not forget Firefly, even though it had one season and a movie it was a great show. And don't forget Star Trek franchise.

wasn't it just what the jedi believed, that there was a darker side to the force? I kinda like the idea of it not being good or bad anyway. It seems to fit better with the idea that PEOPLE can be good or bad instead. Having the force be a tool to be used is a nice idea since it can show how it can be used when someone turns what should be neutral into a thing of destruction. Its kinda boring to me personally to have it be said there is just an evil force out there that corrupts people. Doing it this way instead adds to the mysticism that was mentioned too, i would say? Because it wouldn't be about external influences then, but rather a result of you giving in to your own dark nature and using the force for bad.

Of course i always enjoyed the "grey" jedi's philosophy more than the generic jedi and sith's philosophies so im kinda biased. Maybe its just cuz i like people to be held responsible for their own choices. With the good and evil force idea its kinda like when these people do bad shit you can just blame it on the "evil" force turning them bad instead of solely putting it on the people actually committing the atrocities.

i wont say these new movies are great cuz they got a lotta flaws but im liking the way it went in regards to these aspects at least. Course i wish they'd just bring back more of the expanded universe stuff. A lot of the books and comics had some damn good concepts and events.

 

yeah man, nothing beats the glory that was the prequels.

ep 1-3 were the best, You're right.

 

I lost interest in the new trilogy when disney reset the post-episode 6 continuity, I can understand why they did it, but having the empire surrender a mere year after Palpatine's death never made sense to me, would have been much more interesting if it resulted in the galaxy split in multiple factions all seeking power or independence.

 

i actually liked episode 1, like sure it has some flaws but its an enjoyable story on its own, clone wars had some great action and episode 3...well it was not that great....

on that subject i actually enjoyed rogue 1, but force awakens was garbage and the only thing that made it somewhat enjoyable were the special effects and the awesome cinema i saw it at as you could feel a pressure running through your body every time they used the force because of their sound setup which is something you probably wont get if you watch it at home.

 

As someone that didn't watch a single part until recently, so i have no nostalgia filter, i can tell you that it was shit to begin with.

 

Now, that would be a proper star wars. Multiple faction seeking dominance.
And give 'em some jedi and sith influence, that would make a complex story line, pov, and universe.
