Was having a chat with my brother about some LN,Wuxia etc... he has found or read that i have yet to discover, he mentioned 1 that caught my interest. In the world everyone is linked to a star(?) and the further your star is from the world the more powerful you can become(?). he read it a while ago and forgot the name but said it had like 100+ chapters and i really would like to read it. Any kind souls capable of helping a fella out? Apparently the mc is pretty strong and there was something about a run down school and a princess?
Ty everyone funny thing is i just started reading it thinking OMG this mentions stars and gaining power...ahhh sweet irony
Its Ze Tian Ji a bit like ISSTH in poetry way, but if you you like, you can try Dragon Blooded War God (Celestial cultivation techniques) and True Martial World (purple card that absorbs ?Qi?)...
ZTJ's MC is not physically strong yet (but he's supposed to be smart or at least knowledgeable). He still didn't get his first power up for now. People say recent chapters are getting close to that part though. Also, if it's the concept of cultivating according to stars you like, the MC of Law of the Devil do that as well.
Isn't the Law of the Devil extremely in the comedy side? I hear that David Beckham makes an appearance on it and other stuff
He's not physically superior ,but he has a destiny of power and Spoiler: :p a sword that is infused with the stars power that Is superior to nearly all human cultivators
Yeah. The beginning of the story was rather good, giving the feel that the story would be rather serious. After a few dozen of chapters though, the comedy started to overflow. Like, the MC having fun naming things according to his past life experience or improbable situations with people having familiar names. Sometimes the names author chose are rather awkward. Example: Spoiler The "strongest Paladin" (that means, the strongest guy alive) was named "Hussein Saddam". He was betrayed by his church and set up. They charged him to be a traitor (the worst possible charge) and the Church "righteously" tracked him down with kill on sight orders afterward. With that scheme, they could officially get rid of him so that he can't reveal the truth (nor some kind of secret he discovered). That Hussein right now is one of the MC's companion. Awkward reference/inspiration our author had there. If you happen to overthink things, you might even believe author hiddenly put his opinion concerning past geopolitics events in there. The story's not bad but author's taste for jokes is quite creepy sometimes.
Creepy sure ,but if it makes people laugh then that's great ,if not then they will just think they are trying to create a mood or set a time to the story .
Well, when something creepy makes me feel awkward, I don't laugh though. Sometimes, I even lost my hype for the story. Luckily for this author, everyone isn't like me. I was just stating my personal impression, people take that as they want. I'm not telling anyone not to read nor scorn the author.
When I see stuff like that it makes me not want to read the novel I mean I wouldn't mind seeing something like that in a manga but I expect something a bit more serious from novels the most comedy I can take is a shameless mc that's perverted but I defo wouldn't want them to add names of people or places of our era
