looking for stories with start over type plot. No harem (well something like TDG which actually only love one yet fancied by many should be fine, but something like Against the God is a no). I don't really mind Japanese or Chinese but I dislike repeatable looking down-grudge-revenge type stuff Chinese novel usually has. No obvious plot hole. Light-hearted story is preferable.
Transcending the 9 Heavens. Personally I liked this one better than TDG, hands down no question asked.

If I'm not wrong, the two women in the picture are his mother (the one w/ the fire magic) and a goddess that gave him his "no fatigue" ability. The man with the sword should be his father.
Hmm.... can't think of anything but tsuyokute new saga. The hero dies after defeating a demon lord but returned to 4 years prior, before the demon invasion. Does time loop works? I recommend Mother of Learning. The MC repeats a month in a world with magic.

Hmmm, can you elaborate a bit more? Are you still looking for rpg or adventure like stories? Or is it something different? And you can only read translated work? Anything you absolutely want to avoid other than harems?
*Adventure, rpg, revolution, anything... *Japanese raw is possible, but if it's not especially fascinating I won't last... *Other than harem perhaps only Yaoi... oh, too evil MC and H stuff (except it's especially good plot-wise) also out.

If it's do-over stories where you get a second chance at the same problem, I actually have nothing. As for more traditional reincarnations where both lives aren't really related... Spoiler As lame as this sounds and you probably read it already, Kumoko is reincarnated and there's adventures with the rpg/game elements. Guild's Cheat Receptionist, s/he reincarnated. There are some adventures, nothing major. And there are some game elements, sorta. It's light, I can say that. Get Naked, s/he not reincarnated but more like new game+. There's no grudge other than grudge on the system that kept on reincarnating ore restarting him. Desolated Era, he's reincarnated but the reincarnation is unrelated to his previous life. This one is Chinese. It has adventures but it's xianxia and very atypical xianxia. You start from a small region and going to a larger and larger and larger one until you're basically the God of everything and story ends. If you like vanilla, it's alright and fairly well done. If you want something unique or refreshing, nope. Also, not so light hearted. Kitsune, this is a debate between reincarnated and transported. I say transported by death. Mecha Otaku, this is reincarnation into a world with giant magic robots/golems.
