Mn, it seems that it's best that I remove the group names after all. My initial thought was to give credit to the groups that completed novels of such length, but it seems like it requires more of a manual process than an automated one when doing this.

For now I will remove it, but for future statistics, I will take this into account~

I'd be really interested in seeing those numbers too.
The thing about translators that are reaching the end of their 'lifespan', is sometimes it happens that they upload a handful of chapters spread out over a much longer length of time than they were uploading at originally or during 'midlife'.

A random made-up example: say translator A usually uploads once per month. Towards the end of their 'lifespan' translating, you could get a gap of 2 to 7 months between the last 3 or 4 chapters they translated.

So just including their first and last chapter upload date wouldn't take this into account, and the numbers for some translators wouldn't reflect their actual 'translating lifespan' as well.

Awesome dedication. I don't know if this was intended as easter egg, but bar graphs look like penises, which is oddly appropriate.

Is there an easy way to see a list of BL novels that wasn't tagged with Handsome Male Lead? Are those novel just missing that tag or do they actually having a male lead that's not attractive?

Sort of related, I wonder why that tag was made. Is it meaningful in someway? I've read at least 300 webnovels and I can only think of one story where the male lead isn't attractive.

For some people it matters. For others they might want to actively exclude it because this might mean that the Male Lead is not handsome, which could be something the novel plays at.

Personally speaking, I'd remove almost all tags that denote characteristics of the Protagonist/Love Interest, but I'd get scolded if I tried... >.>

From the top of my head I can think of Accel World... I can't remember any other though.

You mean the main character of Accel World, right?
I was thinking of male lead as 'not-the-main-character love interest'. (Second mc is ok, as long as they aren't the primary one). I can't remember any web novels with non-handsome / non-beautiful love interests, so if this unicorn like thing exists, (whether male or female) I want to see !

Aye, he was the MC! >.<

*tries to think of a manga/novel with a non-handsome/beautiful love interest*

Nope, I got nothing. I remember one shoujo manga with an ugly female side character and that's about it.

The ML in has a scar across his face and MC is initially frighten by him. Not a BL novel.

There's also the ML in a BL novel He's described as having a very fierce face, but they live in a primitive society that values strength and power over beauty, so it's not a big deal. And for a good part of the story MC is punished by the system with old age, so not attractive himself either. I like the break from author lavishing praise about how handsome, attractive, etc ML and MC is that I see in every other novel.

I just say why there isn't "Don't pick up boyfriends from trashbin " mentioned.
That novel is a rare gem.

Is there a way to make a chart of translations by translators specifically? Either by the entire work (which might not work since there's a lot of projects with multiple translators) or by chapter count done? I know there's plenty of people who have a presence in multiple groups or a group + their own blog/wordpress/other platform. It would be interesting to see how many names I recognize, if nothing else lol.

Thanks for all the hard work putting the charts together! It was very interesting to see.

NU only lists translation groups and not individual translators, so... That's basically impossible to do with NU data.
