http://www.epicbundle.com/article/steam-key-for-free-planets-under-attack the giver is dlh.net; need to register and link the account to the facebook account (because we need to like its page to be able to redeem the key).
Suspicious "because we need" so you work for the site. Needing to link facebook to redeem the key is BS. Humblebundle does this through email just fine. Went onto the site and connecting facebook seems to be optional and just for getting warnings of future deals. You're definitely an employee of the site since you're trying to make us link our facebooks when we don't have to.
"we need to like its page" where we means the users probably. Still suspicious as hell, and even if everything else is clean (don't know the page, so I'm dubious about that), they may use/sell your FB info for advertising.
got the link from a friend this morning but i couldn't get it. checked some youtube videos and they show a blue button. googled some more and found out that facebook like is required. just hoping this can help people from some frustration. if you check the dlh page and you'll see (maybe) hundreds of comments asking for the steam key. i didn't put this into the comment; i didn't read all the comments because the site is a nightmare - every few actions popup an ad page. about facebook -- it's a garbage bin to me. if you are concerned about privacy and such, why use the main account? just create a garbage account. @RRL Vocaloid: it should be more constructive to provide the humble bundle link as an alternative (non-obstructive) way to get the free game instead of jabbing at a site. was there any personal grieve with that site?
Damn, you made me just check out the free giveaways. Yesterdays giveaways were trash. Thought todays will be too. Damn, frostrune free keys were being distributed on IGN. Fucccckkkk. If only i was 2 hrs fast.
No, the facebook thing seems to be required to claim the key. Your confusion stems from the fact that the link is to a website that tracks game deals like this and not directly to the website offering the free game. The whole "Like us to track future deals!" thing is the deal-tracking website's shtick. That said, I couldn't even get the giveaway website to stay on the damn page since it likes to redirect you.
