Isn't the core of the story being so awesome you break the system and surpass it? Just like all the other novels by this guy? I doubt the MC will remain bound by karma or anything else in the end, and the whole Joker business seems to be hinting towards it already. Even shopkeep girl treated his Tricksterhood as something special, and he surpassed that. It'll probably be like the language skill from EER.
I will say this right now, Jin should be renamed to Gin. I get confused when they jump from Jin Jin to Jin.

A dragon is a bit big for a looting pet, and he already has Jin as a mount. After seeing how perfect they are for each other, I don't really see him getting another mount until she gets a humanoid form.
A slime sounds like a very good option! If it could store items in its body by eating them like Rimuru it would be perfect. Slimes are also well known for their ability to evolve.
