Anyone getting xianxia vibes when Steve aka Treasure Eater (or Heaven's wrath) comes in when MC creates a (heavenly defying) better item?
For Steve to not die while using the blood whips, part of the ability must be something along the lines of marrow invigoration. Paul Zero has no blood however, only bones, so my guess is that the ability will evolve in a weird way that combines the two. It's a skill that seems to activate when the user is damaged, though that isn't completely certain. My guess is that the effect of the skill he acquired will be like this: When bones are damaged or broken, they will release the mana stored in them via mana bone relative to the level of damage. The burst of mana created this way can be used to instantly fuel a skill, even at a distance. So for example, if he shoots a finger bone and it lands on the ground, currently he can only use it for self destruct. Now however, if it's trampled by the enemy and releases mana, he can trigger a skill like flames of revenge remotely.
Well, he's close to leveling up, which means evolving, which means he might actually take his first step towards having more than just a bare-bones body. One can only hope. Unless you're into schadenfreude, then you can hope he gets something that makes him even less human. Maybe his bones can turn into jelly he can use as whips? Maybe he gets actual blood, but it only comes out of his face-holes? Maybe he becomes a real boy, but he's a black guy? Oh, and as always, he just has to inch as close to leveling up as possible without actually doing it before geting some sort of ridiculous power-up that pushes his stats way beyond the required amount. Of course, with the addition of special achievements (killing a level 5 at level 3), spare bones and equipment to absorb (acid axe and stone gloves), new special abilities (blood whip derivative), all to contribute towards whatever unique monstrosity he'll become next. I friggin love this author. And I friggin hate cliff-nim.
Poor Cliff-him... So alone and unloved... I'm hoping he doesn't acquire any flesh. I want to see how Toika pulls of his classic harem with an MC who is nothing but bones.
...i imagine MC hammering the ground while screaming at the heavens as the equipment goes bye bye. Though I think now MC can use Reality Marble with Bone Armory, literally the Bone of my Sword.
It is due to the red color I guess, the cape looks like wings for the knight in the back, but I also see a red caped mage(?) and another red person. So basically it is obvious that the heroes will try and kill MC on sight. Also, be still my lecherous eyes, but that knight has chest plate that looks stacked, Shaltear ain't that stacked even with all the paddings she has. Wonder what would non Overlord readers will say about the cover art?
If the author decided to GB Jin who I thought is a male then this is a new low for Toika, but if this works turns BL or even two ways, then this is still a new low for Toika.
It's probably one of those heroes in the chat. I haven't bothered remembering any of their names yet. It's probably going to be an annoying, Lawful Stupid-type characters. And it might even develop into one of those annoying Enemies Become Lovers-type relationships. I'd rather he H the horse tbh. By the way, if I'm remembering correctly, Jin was Japanese, in which case it's almost definitely a male name. Technically it can be given to females though.
Did it say he/she is Japanese? Wasn't Jin's full name Jin Taylor? Looked up the name, found both males and female with that name. The mc said their voice was beautiful, and judging by the behavior and dialogue, appears to be female. The mc might have been unsure and mistake for a male, but that's common in anime/light novels.
Jeez, he went full Bone Man... He's probably gonna start making mouse noises any day now. ED: Golems... Facility... Mindless servants... Bone cores... Skill steal... He's going the D2 necro route, I'm calling it now.
Ha, Toika thinks making mc undead can stop us from demanding harem? Start boning chicks already you stiff.
