Few years ago same happened for me, as i was impatient to read stories. But then i was weary of losing brain cells by reading mtl, and it kinda starts to ruin story immersion, when mtl give you some chinese gibberish. So now i'm back to quality translation (or at least good edited mtl, thanks to people, who losing brain cells instead of me).

Recently just kept rereading all my old favourites or looking for new novels that interest me even mildly to satisfy my need to read. So my "read until bored then dropped" pile of novels have been increasing. I did go for MTL for quite a bit of my novels when I'm impatient but I spent enough braincells on understanding MTL that I took a break first to read good translated work.

nope, I make sure my list are always organized. "reading," "Want to read" "good for wasting time (aka dropped)" "complete"

same, i stopped checking my reading list maybe 2-3 years now. im very impatient and cant really wait that long for my list to be completely translated so i risked having headaches reading mtl. after a few years i got used to it and now, reading mtl is not that bad.
