    Hey guys

    As the title says, I'd like something similar to these stories. Something that has those all powerful seniors still around. Where the MC is the powerful sect master/prince and what not.

    No elder, but he does have a kingdom. Also, enemies have thought processes (not like fodder young masters)

    If manga/anime are alright, then History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi is probably the closest to what you want.

    I'd also suggest Cultivation Chat Group. He's not technically anyone's disciple, but it really is just a technicality.

    Stopped reading that around chapter 400ish I think...maybe I should pick it up again
    Hmm...I tried reading that once...don't remember why I dropped it...
    Been reading both. I was well into TE raws before I took a break. ED is something I plan to pick up soon
    Finished Kenichi a long time ago. Had fun with that manga. CCG is already one of my favorite novels
