I have a single question, because i am very hesitant about reading this, and i am not hesitant because it is by author of The Gate of Good Fortune (people complain about it because the mc is always in shitty situation, but let me ask you this (btw totally unrelated to the question about this novel that i want to ask (basically i got sidetracked) is the novel called The Gate of Easy Fortune? from my understanding the author didnt include 'Easy' in the title). Now back to the main point, before i got slightly side tracked... How bad is the nationalism in this? usually i avoid modern CN novels due to this!! but i heard that it is quite popular in china, so i thought of giving it a go, but before i do, this question needed to be asked!!

 

So far zero nationalism. MC is from a different world so I doubt he would show nationalism tendencies

she deleted the video , but she did not destroy the hard-drive , so they recovered the video from it .
as for nationalism., why not ? the authors are humans , and they aspire to create human and realistic characters , i see no problem with nationalism being used in a " modern day" tagged novel.

 

Yeah and she knew that Song clan would search for every possible evidence but yet she did not destroy the main evidence. She knew how powerful the enemies were. So smart. She even had a copy of the video with herself. Really smart.

And racism: Just bullshit excuse as MC feels he is a true Chinese and he has to hate Vietnamese.

haha. I'm so with you, novels seem to always be pushing propaganda, it's not about being human bullshit, it's about painting one side with shit and the other with rainbow colors. As for the dumbass girl....that pissed me off, the whole premise of helping because of seeing her sad eyes or w.e the fuck was stupid as hell. And her taking a copy of the video, for reasons but not destroying the hard drive... the common IQ for people in novels must be downright shit.
